The smell of smoking is horrible. It hits you as soon as you walk in. Probably leave with lung cancer from the second hand smoke. It will be in your hair, skin, clothes and you will smell it while your eating; gross. There isn't anything near this casino. You cannot walk to anything. Get ready for a long wait in line when you get there to reserve your room. I believe there is only VIP parking unless you want your vehicle next to the pawn shop in a shady parking lot. Food was expensive.
Notice habitat 67 apartment complex build for Montreal's World Exhibition in 1967. on the way to casino which was the former French pavilion and great view of Montreal and port. Area of Grand Prix. Race course too. Lots of great food and entertainment there too.
Very unfriendly! We've been to many world-class casino in the world; this is a very small low class one. It only for those local cheap gambler. If you used to luxury casino in Las Vegas don't go there! They treat customer like dogs. This is the worst place we went this trip! Waste of my time! Far away and nothing to see.
Go on a week day, not late at night on a weekend. Busy and the parking/shuttle service was horrible. Parking lotd were not clesrly marked. Bud Driver didn't understand what we were asking him. Ended up getting back in the car and didn't get to enjoy a night of gambling. Very disappointed with the layout and miles apart from parking and casino.
Like a maze. We didn't go back. Also surprised that cash in could only be in Canadian dollars unless you intitally cash in American dollars. Then, even if you win, you can only get the initial amount that you cashed in in dollars. Your winnings will be in Canadian money. Wierd & inconvenient.
as with any casino, I ended up losing money, but that's normal. What's great is five floors. a huge screen (I think for performances) is as high as four floors and they offered a wide variety of free drinks including juice which is something you wouldn't get at a casino in southern ontario. Also, this casino is easily accessible from downtown montreal via their own transit system STM.
