We took a tour with a local camera club.

We took a tour with a local camera club. They were offering a free photography workshop. Although there was wildfire smoke blanketing the skies above Ottawa, we were able to make a few photographs of Parliament Hill and Rideau Canal. Incidentally, photos of blood red skies turned out haunting. Thank you Henry's Camera.

The parliament was closed for massive maintenance works, and...

The parliament was closed for massive maintenance works, and could not be visited. A virtual visit was proposed (free of charge, admittedly), but it was only so-so. Any future visitors should check that the real parliament has been reopened

It truly is majestic as the seat for a national government.

It truly is majestic as the seat for a national government. We should all be very proud. On this visit, we simply viewed its majesty from different directions, however, in last visits the tour of the buildings is daunting.

Good location to Parliament hill and Major hill park. The suite is quite dated. Part of the balcony rod curtain fell off, we called for maintenance and was promised that they will send someone to fix it but nobody came.

Location is perfectly convenient, minutes away from parliament hill. Easy to get to from the airport by public transport. Wonderful breakfast with many choices and even to go snack bags for your day. Clean comfortable room with everything you need. Friendly staff and a gym with an amazing massage chair. I have stayed here twice now, and would come back again in the future. Thank you business inn!

The boutique hotel is very stylish. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Initially I was assigned to a room near the hallway, where I can hear the crowd and the music from the lobby. After I reflect that to the staff, they immediately changed a room for me, and I was lucky enough to get an upgrade as well. The location is perfect, close to the parliament hill and walkable distance to the national gallery of Canada.

Located in the central part of Ottawa. In a walking distance to National Gallery of Ontario, ByWard Market District, Parliament HIll, City Hall, National Arts Centre, embassies of various countries, and more. The operator of this B&B is extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen cupboard and the fridge was full of snacks and drinks which the guests are encouraged to help themselves. Bathroom is a kind of basic, but kept very clean without any odor. Towels were freshly washed and neatly piled up.

We loved the Sonder Rideau. It was a ten minute walk to Parliament Hill and only a few minutes more to Byward Market. The apartment is huge and was so clean. Nice finishes. Very modern and the bed was so comfortable with tons of pillows! We couldn’t believe how well stocked it was with a fully functioning kitchen with yummy coffee, living room to relax and massive washroom and bathroom. The staff in the lobby were always happy, friendly and super helpful.

Location was perfect! Very close to Parliament Hill and other Ottawa attractions. Loved that they are pet friendly hotel and I could stay with my dog. There is a Tim Hortons right on the lobby and that perfect since we had a rainy morning and couldn’t go outside but we could get some coffee and food in the meantime.
