A fabulous newly built building, by the renowned...
A fabulous newly built building, by the renowned Iraqi-British architect: Zaha Hadid, opened in 2010. It looks wonderful from outside, with a lovely bar near the roof, and avery good vegetarian restaurant just outside the main entrance, near the ticket office, but we were lucky enough to get tickets for a fantastic contemporary ballet performance, and so could see it from inside , too. Amazing auditorium! Very much worth a visit! Ask your concierge to get tickets, as they do not accept bookings from abroad, on-line. Or else: by them at the box office, in person! Which ever way: well worth the efforts!

We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton because of the recommendation of a friend. He was totally right. It is located just a few steps from the Guangzhou Opera House in a very well served area. The room was formidable, with a view to the river and the Guangzhou Tower. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I definitely recommend it.
