The rooms are beautiful (Chinese style) and spacious. The homestay is located close by the Guilin city center but on a calm isle where you can find many restaurants and a running/biking lane. The staff was adorable, greeting us in the middle of the night when we arrived, helping us put together an itinerary, showing us around. We were only there for three days but it it felt like a stay with friends or family. Definitely would recommend.

Best hotel I've been to in China so far and one of the best ever in my travels. The location is amazing, the room with a view on the mountains is insane. The manager, Xiao Ming, Is the kindest person on earth, generous, friendly and always at your disposal, day and night. Never found such a service in my entire travel life. He provides everything you need, he books for you tours, local guides, free pickup from Guilin station. Breakfast is good, western or eastern as you please. Free electric bikes and scooters are available for use if you want to wander in the city and the landscape: what a blast. The atmosphere is relaxed and slow but lively, and you can meet friends here. Restaurants nearby are also very good. And it's also very cheap!

Very friendly and helpful staff, boss Jane is a very nice lady. Driver Leo speaks prefect English, and he gave us an informative introduction about the city during the drive. The Vale Inn is located in a small quiet village and not far away from the city centre. Recommended place to stay in Guilin.
