We loved the location and the fact that we saw so much wildlife right outside our balcony! The staff was very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was very good as well!

Perfect location, beautiful resort, amazing breakfast. We spent 3 nights as a family of 5 with 3 young children (4, 8 and 12). We loved the location, the beach is beautiful, we walked down every morning and came back up with the transport. We loved the free jungle walk with a wonderful guide, we were super lucky and saw all the animals and the free cooking class taught us how to make empanadas. The flat is spacious and has everything a family might need. The pool is wonderful with beautiful sunsets

The service was amazing, making me feel right at home. The amenities were fantastic, and waking up to monkeys passing by every morning was pure magic. Tranquil location near the park and beaches. Bus stop is in front!

Excellent stay overall — free parking, lots of animals around, a great vibe, and a really nice breakfast. Everything was lovely.

The location was phenomenal. The veranda out side the room had a good view, was sheltered from the sun and a pleasant place to sit. The Hotel is set amongst forest and almost on the beach. The wildlife comes to you. The swimming pool has seen better days but it’s in a very special location and the capuchin monkeys regularly visit to hang out with their family. The beach is totally amazing. Manuel Antonio is only a 10 minute jaunt along the beach. This hotel is an experience in itself. Well worth a visit.

The view from our balcony was amazing! Thr noise of the ocean also. The hotel has a direct exit to the espadilla beach and around 5 PM several white face monkeys show up for some food. Our 7 years old kid felt in paradise feeding them.

We had a problem on arrival but the staff Joanne Gerard were so helpful and pleasant and solved it all.Xenia was a great help organising hoursThe premises are tired but the staff and location make up for it. Easy bus ride the 1km to the beach as it is quiet a steep hill and no footpath.

Nice hotel with really nice rooms on the hill. Private access to the beach makes it special and that’s highly recommended! Staff was also really nice. Manuel Antonio park is walking distance and avoids paying the parking there.

The whole environment was simply fabulous! The room, our terrace, the pools, the service and the food... everything was just perfect. Even nature was on our side with a sloth on the premises and a whale jumping in the distance.!! Walking around can be a challenge due to steep walk ways. But the Hotel is offering internal transport services.

Staying at Hotel La Mariposa was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking views from the rooms left us in awe every morning. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Additionally, the proximity to fantastic restaurants made dining out a breeze. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel La Mariposa for a wonderful getaway with unbeatable scenery and exceptional service.

Staff is super friendly and very helpful with recommendations for tour, national park, etc. Got an upgrade for a bigger room given availability as well-thank you. Breakfast is super complete and there are different options. The view is amazing and you can spot so many animals while enjoying your breakfast :) There are 3 available pools all super clean and big. The room was cleaned daily with change of towels. Towels for the pool also available in the room. There is also a water fountain where you can fill in your bottles. Great location with parking lot available.

The hotel design is very impresive. Very original and well suited for the place. I loved the food!!! Pizza and Chicken Wings are delicious!! The natural fruit beverages were awesome!! Specially the pinneaple one! Also, the beach is just 100 metres away on foot !!! I highly recommend to stay there!!

I have stayed in 5 hotels in Costa Rica and this was definitely the best one. The staff was great, the pool looks exactly as the pictures, the commodities in the room were great. Good location if you have a car.
