Veleta Peak
The highest point of the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort, this craggy 3400-metre peak was carved out by glaciers. Today its pistes are a paradise for skiers and snowboarders of every level, with dozens of green, blue and red runs criss-crossing its north face. The season stretches from December to April, with the best conditions usually found in early spring.
