Warm welcome by friendly owners/ staff, great rooms with great views, everything very clean. Homemade food with a good spread of tasty sounding choices - we both had the lamb shank and it was excellent!! Stefan nd team going a great job ~ I will certainly stay there again, when next in the area.

The location was perfect, quiet but near to the centre of Samaur. Staff were very friendly. Drinks in the bar after an evening out was ideal. Breakfast was varied and set us up for the journey home. Would really recommend this hotel

Pure perfection! We had a ground floor room, with the perfect view of the Loire and the château. A gorgeous, cosy, but not small room with a beautiful timbered ceiling. The shower room and toilet are separate, so that's a bonus. Breakfast if served in the troglodyte breakfast room. Something that adds to the quirky charm of this hotel. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant across the road. Equally highly recommended.

Very unique hotel. Yannick was an amazing host - very engaging, gave us great recommendations on where to visit/dine and also made reservations for us. He was very welcoming, making us feel like we were his guests at his house. Would come back

Clean comfortable accommodation above a bar/restaurant. Very pleasant staff. Better than one of the cheap nondescript big chain hotels. A short drive or bus ride to the lovely town of Chinon.
