To have the restaurant open on Sunday evening when Ouisterham was 'closed' was excellent. The staff were particularly welcoming and the food was more than sufficient to carry us over into the Ferry crossing the next day . Would we recommend and visit again? The answer is yes without doubt to both.

Worth the 9 euro each.

Worth the 9 euro each. Remember if you have been to another museum to show your ticket as it saves and extra 1 euro. We enjoyed seeing the aircraft and bridge. Lots to read and the old photos were great.

A good stopping point for visiting the Normandy beaches and hinterland. Close to Pegasus Bridge and Ranville and also some great visiting spots in the village which is sat just off Sword beach - great location.

We had a corner room with a bath and stayed for five nights while visiting Normandy. The location is superb. Ouistreham is a very convenient town to stay in, with a great day spa at Thalazur, and access to all the Sword Beach D-Day landing sites, plus Pegasus Bridge and Caen so close by. There's a big Carrefour as well. The restaurant to Le Phare is also very good for lunch or dinner. There are at least four other restaurants within sight. The hotel accepts dogs.

Friendly welcome, to an old building, by Madame. Stairs to our first floor airy, very clean bedroom and bathroom, adjacent to the canal and ferry port. Excellent meals over two nights, payable to the restaurant as under separate ownership to the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was typique and good. Excellent stopover for those visiting the British memorial at Vers-sur-Mer, the other Memorials and landing beaches, Pegasus Bridge and of course the Bayeux Tapestry. Would readily stay again.

Excellent location to access the Caen to Portsmouth ferry. Close to the main road to Caen, but still quiet. Short drive to Pegasus bridge or cycle along track. Easy drive along D Day beaches or cycle along track.

This is a really lovely, small campsite that was ideal for our D-Day 80th anniversary visit to Normandy. We walked to Pegasus Bridge (about 2 miles by the canal) and to Sword beach (about 30 minutes). The 2 pools looked clean and are a descent size (and a good slide our children would have loved when they were younger) though we didn’t get chance to use them as we were only back at the site at the end of each day. The caravan had everything in it you would need and a nice outdoor space too.

The atmosphere of the hotel with its occupation in WW2 was a new found emotion in me and Julia. On walking the streets every 10 metres was a photo of a fallen soldier. We visited the Pegasus bridge and then on to see the Mullberry harbour at Arromanche. My regret is we only had one day there, we will return for a week. The hotel under 5 min drive to the ferry at 6am, stress free, excellent.
