Staff, accommodated a last minute change to a ground floor room necessary for my wife to avoid stairs as the lift was out and my wife had injured her knee the day before arrival. Housekeeper obtained a more comfortable chair for my wife which was much appreciated. Beautiful building in a beautiful setting. Close to Beamish museum which was a delightful experience.
