Beautiful hotel and gardens with a fascinating history. Worth reading the whole story and evolution of the house going back to the 11th century, Elizabeth I, and Victorian times. Full English breakfasts in the sunroom overlooking the gardens was a treat. We stayed in the modernized stables, which includes plenty of parking hidden so as not to spoil the view.

This traditional English country hotel and pub with beamed ceilings, free Wi-Fi, cask-conditioned ales and a homey atmosphere is just a short distance from highway M3.

Staff are amazing and it's a lovely location. Food at the Italian was really good and service was great. Will definitely come back. Ignore negative reviews, it's not a clinical corporate hotel which is a pleasant surprise these days, you definitely feel welcomed.
