Very nice and interesting However if you arrived by train Hever station is very remote and is unmanned. A taxi is hard to find and is expensive It is around a30 minute walk from the station to the castle
This castle was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday by staying in the suite available and it did not disappoint. Sitting looking out of the window in the evening looking at the castle fully lit up was so lovely that I struggled to pull myself away and get into bed! The grounds are superb and a joy to walk around. I can not recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely come here again to stay, only thing missing is a restaurant on site to have dinner in, which would be most welcome. I imagine hold a wedding here would be amazing!
We go to Hever Castle every year, last year we went twice because we wanted to go during Christmas time and I’m so glad we did. It is absolutely mesmerising, the effort the workers must go through to have it look this outstanding. We’ve decided to now go there every Christmas and feel the magic there.
Amazing and luxurious. Enjoy having the grounds to yourself after the castle has closed to the public. Morning is the same with the grounds exclusively yours. An amazing experience, once in a lifetime, thank you
Stay overnight. Have dinner at King Henry VIII pub. Go during the spring/summer to really see how beautiful the gardens are. I took a train there from London which was pretty easy. I took a car back to London - which only cost about 70 pounds.
Awesome castle and grounds. If you're staying, go for one of the rooms in the named wings. The rooms are like a page from history, plus you get to roam the castle grounds after hours when all the day trippers have left!
