This is a full day out to see up close and personal the Olympic facilities, the football ground tour is a must and the walk around the area is easy and interesting to see all the developments in the area
A REALLY GREAT PLACE TO VISIT. AN ENJOYABLE DAY IF YOU WANT TO EXPLORE THE PARK, YOU CAN TAKE YOUR TIME AND SEE THE VENUES THAT WERE USED IN THE 2012 GAMES. THE WESTFIELDS SHOPPING CENTER IS DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE PARK, SO YOU HAVE PLENTY OF PLACES TO GET YOURSELF A PICNIC LUNCH. PLACES TO EAT IN PARK TOO.
This is now the home of the West Ham Football Club but sometimes when football is not on it has other activities happening. Around the arena itself it makes a nice picnic area and very close by is the great shopping centre of Westfield.
Wow a fantastic venue having been there for the opening ceremony of the Paralympics where our son was part of the display team. A good walk about Queen Elizabeth Park embracing the velodrome, the swimming centre, etc.
If you fancy a drink when visiting the Stadium, there are steps to the right of the bridge (if walking towards the stadium) there is a barge bar- lovely staff and good selection of reasonably priced drinks
They should look at their queuing situation for big concerts. People tried to jump queues. When we entered the stadium. We were held back by staff while others around got on the standing before us. Very frustrating when you get there early and someone's mistake costs you a spot you could have had on the barrier in the golden circle.
This hotel was great value, easy to get to and perfect to get to and from our evening event at the Olympic stadium. Staff were very kind and accommodating and allowed us to check in early.
