I love Oxford street, so much to do and see. My only tip is- If you don't like the rush hours like me, try going there early (very early) in the morning. Oxford as become so so crowded that it's not comfortable walking there
An amazing shopping trip! Love Selfridges and Harrods ! Even if you are not buying much there but having few little things and a little treat like a little cake and coffee. It’s all about your experience and new memories .
Don't bother! Over rated tourist trap full of brands you can find on your high street , tat shops and sweet emporia. A real drop in standards and choice from what the old shopping area used to be.
Some buildings are very nice in this buildings and are really good great historical value, some are hardly maintained or never maintained. The good thing is that there is variety of shops in this street for all budgets . They down side is it doesn’t feel safe, the road is relatively narrow ( British standard) and it’s over packed with tourists and obviously lots of mugging going on, I’ve heard of one when I was there for two hours only.
It's long, it's full of shops, it's legendary for being absolutely heaving approaching Christmas. You probably want Bond Street tube if you don't feel like walking. If you must Christmas shop here, go as early as you can manage, and definitely not in December.
This street you can enjoy all kinds of Luxry shopping experience, for everyone comes to london should come here for a vist, to feel the old-brand capiltalist country and its luxury fashion, Welcome to london, Oxford street as well!
The breakfast was very poor, the rooms was not clean also they didn’t clean my room since I stayed. The location was quite good 10 mints from Marble Arch is good distance. But I surprised that hotel didn’t match my expectations at all related the rooms and breakfast even they don’t provide a fridge in rooms. Also they don’t have left so it was difficult to take my baggage upstairs.unfortunately I booked in this hotel by mistake. The price of rooms are more higher than some hotels closed to Oxford street with more facilities.
Our first to London was concerned about where to stay at this hotel was delightful. The lift was a great convenience, The breakfast was enjoyable, and I would certainly consider returning in the future. The location was ideal for my needs, being close to the train station and other destinations I wanted to explore. The hotel itself was tidy and comfortable. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to both the Bayswater and Queensway metro lines made it easy to reach the city center (Oxford Street) by bus.
Great location, around the corner from Paddington station and bus stops. Close proximity to a number of pubs and restaurants, and within walking distance of Hyde Park and Oxford Street. The bed, although small, was very comfortable. The room itself is small (I'm pretty sure the hotel used to be accommodation for St.Mary's hospital medical students, when I lived in London in the late 80s), but well appointed.
We liked the location near to Oxford street and parks. Also the parking in front of hotel was very comfortable. As we arrived from Manchester by car for two nights in London, this location just outside the congestion zone, by close to city was excellent for us. Breakfast was simple but very good (toasts, ham and cheese and lot of coffee), and people in hotel were extremely polite and nice.
Westminster Borough, London
This apartment is in a great location where it was easy to walk to Oxford Street with its many shops and restaurants and the nearby Mayfair area with exclusive designer stores. It is also within walking distance of Hyde Park where one can access the Hop On Hop Off Bus Tours which give you access to the entire city.
main bonus is the location of the hotel. close to the museum, soho, oxford street etc. Bed was comfortable but due to the location there has been a lot of noise from the outside, keeping us up at night.
The location was great, near the Bond tube station (Elizabeth line from Heathrow stops there). 5 minutes from Oxford street, Hyde park, and some other main streets and locations.
Westminster Borough, London
Location is very good within a minute’s walk from tube station and Oxford street. The apartment is big and clean.
Westminster Borough, London
Location was in walking distance to lots of restaurants, the underground and 15min walk to Oxford street.
Westminster Borough, London
location was close the oxford street and all the other touristic areas.
If you want to do some shopping, but want to avoid the crowds, you should stay away from Oxford Street and Portobelle Road on Saturdays. Take a trip to some of the boroughs outside the city's centre and discover the local atmosphere. Ask someone in a shop or the staff at your hotel, if you need a few suggestions for a good day out away from the crowds. I usually ask them where they go for a day out.
you have all kinds if shopping from all the big chain stores found on oxford street to the markets and vintage stalls in camden town, also carnaby street for a something a little bit different
Plan your trip and staying in details. Do a little research what are the busiest times/days. Skip using tube/buses unless you really have to. Avoid the busiest shopping/tourist areas (there is much more to London than Oxford Street and Trafalgar Square).
Close to major shopping areas like Covent Garden,Regent Street and Oxford Street
Shop anywhere except Oxford Street as there is a heaving mass of humanity.
You can find a lot of various useful things for every taste and purse all-over London and especially at the Oxford street of course
