FranceA little gem. I above all loved the atmosphere of this place and the staff working there. They were so friendly, interesting and helpful. It was the perfect environment to chill but also to chat and exchange stories with the staff and fellow travelers. The garden is absolutely beautiful. They have different choices for food at reasonable prices. It is located about 40 min walk from the unique reserve of Semuc Champey.
The rooms and bathrooms are a bit rustic but I knew that when I booked and I wanted this kind of experience.

Take the full day excursion with a local guide, which includes the walk in the cave having a river flowing in it - you walk in the water with ropes, you feel like Indiana Jones.
Afterwards we went to the final lowest leg of the pools, there there is a cliff e jumped 8 meters into the river
It includes water tubing, flowing along the river.
We climbed to the view point and ent down to the pools.
Not only did we view the pools from the top, we went swimming in each pool - a memorable experience.

Please please please do not wear sunscreen if you plan on getting in the water and bring a reusable bottle that you can refill to avoid buying more plastic which doesn't get recycled and ends up in landfills.

Beds were average in terms of comfort.
Pillows were good.
Showers and toilets were clean and hot.
Staff were lovely
Alot cheaper to book excursion to semuc champey through the hotel than anywhere else or online

Right by the river to go for a swim or hangout. It’s so peaceful and scenic. The staff are lovely. Did the semuc champey and tubing tour through them, got to tube right to the hotel (although water was extremely low). The food was good & free yoga

It’s a fantastic remote location! Absolutely beautiful to experience and understand the local community’s lifestyle. It’s a short distance to Semuc Champey. The hostel is very clean, and the staff and owners are incredibly friendly. The food was delicious! Nothing but praise for this place! What an amazing adventure!

We just booked a night here to split up our right from Antigua to Semuc Champey. It ended up one of the loveliest nights we have ever spent in an apartment!

Staff was friendly.
Nice view from the balconies.
At check in the owner (i assume) informed us that parts of the hotel is under construction, and the hot water isn't working yet.

The room was spacious and clean, good beds, the vibe in the common area of the hotel (bar/restaurant) is nice, they served good breakfast which was included. There is no wifi in the room but the connection in the bar/restaurant is good. The location of the hotel is great for exploring Semuc Champey.

We were looking for something to relax for a few days with A/C, a good hot shower, wifi and a pool, close to Semuc Champey. The Viñas hotel generally checks these boxes - but see below. The location is indeed perfect if you want to visit Semuc Champey, as we did with our own car. The staff is very helpful, kind and helped us with all of our questions. Our room was lovely and spacious. The town itself is lively and an experience at nighjt - we recommend Donde Rodin for delicious, cheap and easy food prepared by lovely people.

Nice charming hotel with quiet surroundings. Big room and toilet with hot water. Spacious garden and hammock. Chair to sit outside and possibility to dry the clothes. All was clean and impecable. They also help in getting tours and transfers to other cities. Helped me book semuc champey and also bus to flores. Amazing hosts

Location: it is a perfect base to explore Semuc Champey, just few minutes walking. The setting is amazing, with a great swimming pool available to guests (a Jacuzzi pool was also present, but broken when we were there). The structure offers bth hotel and hostels choice. The staff is very friendly and willing to help, there is a great vibe.
