It’s so big place so get there early and avoid weekends There are shows, many kinds of species, great rides Be ready for getting wet Bring swimsuit is great idea If you are One Piece lover You Have To Visit There
Ocean Park should be good but there are fundamental issues. Number one was the heat - it was extremely hot and there was little to no shelter from the sun and little seating. The food is extortionate - the best place to eat is the area around McDonalds - its the only place where you don't feel ripped off. The pandas in both locations are great. The cable car is great. The Aquarium was pointless - far better elsewhere. For many of the attractions, including the Aquarium, you will be forced to queue under direct sunlight. The reason for the queue will not necessarily be the size of the crowds - it will be because they stop each group to take their photo on the way IN. So the service is not for you, it's for them to be able to sell you that pic. In the meantime you will roast.. The other thing is the layout - you will be able to see the attraction you want to walk towards, but over and over, and under direct sunlight, you will be pointed in the opposite direction around winding paths that disorientate. The lack of shelter from the sun is the number one reason not to go. They should fix this and then maybe they would have a better facility on their hands. And fix the signage.
You should go first to the upper area in Ocean Park since people usually try the attractions on the lower area so there are few people lining up in attractions on the upper area. You should also try the train first in going to the upper area since it’s faster then try the cable car when you go back to the lower area.
Enjoyable environment, some very nice rides, rather than wait in long ques to take cable cart, take the train through the mountain, much quicker. Coming back we took cable cart down, there were no ques. enjoy!
My 3rd visit on January 2, 2019 was very okay. No long queues. But, I hope the management will make more shortcut ways in going to another areas because the routes keep you walking and walking. Not friendly to senior citizen.
Plan to spend all day there or to return another time. So much to see, its a zoo, aquatium & theme/amusement park all in one. Entry fee covers everything except special attractions (Chinese) & refreshments/food. Check opening time and be there then. Can stay for the light show if your not worn out walking despite the hillside escalators, train & cablecar.
Close to Ocean Park
Kowloon park is a nice stroll with some nice gardens. Go over to Ocean Park to look at the Pandas and then take the cable car.
Disneyland can be experienced in one day, but Ocean Park requires two days
