Echo beach is a lovely area to stay in Canggu.
Echo beach is a lovely area to stay in Canggu. Great cafes close by. Try Basil kitchen if you don’t want to wait. Crate cafe is nice but busier. Coppenhagan and the cafe next door does great coffee. Not a far scooter to main Canggu beach/ area but quiet enough on the roads and away from the noise. Echo beach was one of our favourite places to stay. We stayed at the Apartments Canggu and Djabu Villas Guest House Echo beach as we extended our trip and didn’t want to pay hotel prices so tried something different and both were great affordable comfortable lovely options.

La Brisa is a really nice treat for either breakfast or tapas in the evening! Further down from La Brisa, there are a lot of huts selling food and drinks. It's worth paying approx. €3 for the sunbed and having easy access to these. We went to O Three and it had nice food and drinks - overall very chilled area.

If you get your money changed at the street side little stalls, count your money very carefully (usually in lots of 500K) and DO NOT give it back to the money dealer! No matter what they say/excuses to recheck for them... DO NOT give the money you've counted back to them, put int your pocket or give to your friend to hold then count the next lots, until you're happy with your total.

It’s nice, not like Aussie beaches tho, black sand. Went to La Brisa, ordered a spiced rum, was given some bogus alcohol that had no taste, went back to the bar paid for another nip, no change in taste, spoke to a supervisor who then added another nip. No smell, no taste, drank half, massive headache the next day 😳

A hidden gem situated in the quiet street of Echo Beach (the northern part of Canggu). We love The Palms for: 1. The amazing hospitality and warm welcome by Gede and his team 2. The bed - we slept soundly and uninterrupted 3. The location - it is situated in a peaceful and quiet area, isolated from the bustling crowd but still near to many cafes, amenities and beaches 4. The interior, aesthetics and facilities - The Palms is so beautiful! Do rent a bike and you'll enjoy Canggu alot more! We will definitely return to this hotel.

The suite was large and I had a very large balcony overlooking landscape and a bit of the pool. The view from my tub was amazing and good sunsets. The hotel was a 7 minutes walk to the beaches (Canggu & Echo Beaches), which I walked to every morning. Hotel was a 2 minutes walking distance to many shops, spas, bars and restaurants. I enjoyed the walking especially in the early mornings and some late afternoons when it nice and cool. The pool was large, beautiful and clean. Staff were excellent and attentive.

we stayed in room 21 with Garden/pool view - Beautiful Garden & pool - Superb breakfast with wide variety of decadent options. breakfast can be ordered to the room. - spacious room - Staff are kind and super helpful. we had a problem with the mattress and they changed it right away with a brand new one and offered us a complimentary massage - location is very close to Echo beach (5min walk) and surrounded by restaurants and mini markets - Spa in the hotel is super nice with professional therapists

I enjoyed hanging out by the pool on the rooftop for sundowner drinks and for some evening meals. The hotel was very close to the beach so enjoyed early morning walks and lounging on the sunbeds at the beach (Echo Beach). There were a good variety of shops nearby and the staff were helpful and friendly, always checking up to see if I was comfortable or needed anything. Complimentary snacks and vouchers were a nice surprise and unexpected.

You can't really get much closer to the action if staying in Echo beach - it's a 5 minute walk to the waves with your board. The staff was friendly, the room was ok, big bed, mattress on the softer side. There are 3 swimming pools, located centrally relatively to the superior rooms and what I guess are the deluxe rooms located in separate buildings. However, being there feels like invading private space of those accommodations.
