Carefully restored to retain the character of the original Roganstown House, this is a magnificent Georgian house on the 300-acre Roganstown Estate. It features an AA Rosette award-winning restaurant.... It was my second time there & I like everything. Think it’s a great place to stay.
Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa is set in 21 acres of County Meath countryside, just 14 mi from Dublin city center. The hotel is amazing. Room was so comfortable and spacious with a beautiful balcony views.
The Station House Hotel is nestled in breathtaking gardens and woodland. The comfortable haven has been lovingly restored from a converted train station. Food is excellent and not over expensive.
In the beautiful, peaceful countryside of County Meath, the Pillo Hotel is a 4-star modern hotel. It is located between Dublin and Meath and features luxurious rooms with HD TVs. Family hotel which should be owned by Tayto Park. Lots of kids but summer holidays.
Definitely not worth it! Travelled as a family with 2 children 9 & 13. Not many rides, they were either too extreme or too babyish.. No inbetween. Badly sign posted and kids were bored by 2pm. Best part was the bird show it was absolutely brilliant other than that it was a bit of a let down especially as we travelled from Waterford and spent 320 on a hotel and 120 for park tickets. Don't waste your time or money!
Tayto park good but far too expensive paid €110 entry and wrist bands and couldnt get on half the rides as closed or queues too long and had to pay extra again for other amusements ripping families off
Yea it's good but very expensive you pay 15euros to get in and then you pay 15euros for wrest band which is 30euros children under 3 are free but then there is rides that you still have to pay for and if it's very busy the queries are long you could be waiting for over an hour to get on so u might not get on everything so get there very early they def should do a family day card for those who have more than 2 kids 😊
Good theme park, especially for kids. I thought the price was decent compared to other theme parks. If you want to save money though you can bring a picnic (there's plenty of tables). There's a good mix of bigger rollercoasters, smaller ones for younger kids and other things like a small zoo, exhibitions etc. Get there early to avoid queues for a couple of the more popular rides. (Although we went on a Saturday and never waited more than 20 mins for the two most popular-the zipline and the Viking water ride). Altogether-worth a visit!
Made a mistake and bought arm bands for the 6 of us, on line I didn't notice that under 3 years get free and I paid € 28 the child on went on 1 ride, his granda looked after him and only went on 1 ride at the end of the day and I went on 3 rides sorry I wasted so much money on the bands. Tayto park was a fantastic day out for the family and I would definitely do it again.
Overall my experience was very good. A large family group of 11 adults and 6 children stayed in 2 of the houses across from the hotel. They were very well equipped. Beds very comfy. Pool lovely and well supervised. Great music in bar at night. A very convenient place to stay for a trip to Tayto Park which is where we visited. Also Trim castle is only about 1km from the hotel.
