There is a shortage of good hotels on the Isle of Man, but this is the best we've found. The setting is lovely, and our meal in the restaurant was good and the maitre d' made a point of remembering our names which is a nice touch. Parking is plentiful and the rooms and bathrooms were large and well appointed. The windows open which is rare these days, but there is no air conditioning if you happen to be there on a rare hot day! Unlike a lot of hotels they do still offer a daily housekeeping service.

The 4-star Sefton Hotel is located in Douglas on the beachfront. It boasts a unique indoor water garden, swimming pool and 2 restaurants.

Everything. The Flat104 was superb. The breakfast was excellent with fresh food being replaced continually. The staff were helpful, pleasant and smiling. The location was first class being right in the middle of the promenade. We loved it

Overlooking Douglas Bay on the Isle of Man, this hotel has a piano bar and large lounge and a conservatory that features panoramic sea views.

The staff were very pleasant but unfortunately the room was poor. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the walls between rooms were very thin. The plumbing from neighbouring rooms was very loud. The bathroom bin lid was not secured to the drum and only one, very flat, pillow was designated to each person. Breakfast had good bacon, egg and black pudding but the sausages were cheap mush and the baked beans were extremely watered down. Considering all of the above, £136 for a small double located somewhere in the rear/side of the building appeared rather excessive.
