The facilities are beautiful and the rooftop restaurant overlooking the Ganges is wonderful! Conveniently located just a short walk to the Assi Ghat! And best of all, the staff is friendly and helpful. Even though they were busy, they were kind enough to help us with early check-in and changing money,etc. I think this is the best hotel including all the staff!

I liked my single room, clean and well maintained, with a comfortable bed and all I needed for my stay. Managers and staff were always helpful and professional. All the facilities provided are very good, wifi, laundry, etc. I enjoyed the fresh food and the traditional atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel is in an excellent position in Varanasi, near Assi Ghat and easy to reach both from the airport and the train station.

Wonderfully located family run guesthouse, right beside Assi ghat. A couple of minutes walk to morning and evening Assi. The host was most hospitible and every whim was catered for - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was served on the rooftop, and a variety of dishes of very generous portions served with chai or lemon and ginger. Experience real Indian hospitality at its best.

We had a very nice experience with Naveen welcoming us in Banaras Guest House. The room is clean and organized, I liked very much the many options of lights in the room. Tha mattress was good, the shower was very good, I got one with Air-co, so was good! We stayed there only for 2 nights... the breakfast was simple but very nice, Naveen´s chai is very delicios! He is very friendly and helped us with everything. Varanasi can be quite intense, so the enviroment in the guesthouse is important. I liked so much and I'm sure I could go back there to enjoy more days in Varanasi.

Hotel is on Great location. Just i reach at assi Ghat 200 m from Hotel. Staff is very polite. Room was very near and clean. Overall my stay is too good.

Excellent location with walking distance from Assi ghat and several wonderful cafes. The hotel is located within a tiny alley - another examples of hidden gems in the alleys of the mystical city of Varanasi. Moment you enter the hotel a sense of peace and calmness takes over you - in contrast to the chaos and clamour of the city outside. The roots are aesthetically decorated - you can clearly see personal dedication in making this hotel look more like a home. They have named their rooms according to different themes such as "Mangal" , "Tana Bana", "Kabir" etc. I stayed in "Mangal room" - which is decorated by beautiful hand crafted tapestry. Each room has a name plate explaining the significance of the room name. They have a beautiful terrace where you can experience soft breeze coming from Ganges ! Host is wonderful , very mindful of your needs and staff is responsive. One thing I love about the place was that this place has a soul- the entire property is dotted with beautiful plants ! A perfect stay in chaotic Varanasi where you can windup after a hectic and draining day in the city.
