We received a traditional and warm welcome from the hostess Ms Anu and the staff along with a refreshing welcome drink. Check in was smooth. Anu was very kind, friendly and prepared us with a quick tutorial on coping with high altitude and suggested some authentic local enriching experiences. Room, bedding etc were very comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the Stok mountain range from our balcony. Location of the hotel is away from the hustle bustle of the main road. So it was calm, peaceful and there were spaces to stroll that made it great for our initial period of acclimatisation. Leh bazaar is a short walk and there are plenty of cafes and bake houses to explore armed with recommendations from Anu. Staff was friendly and always around to help make our stay smoother. Breakfast included a good variety of delicious options every day. Overall we had a great experience and would return on our next trip.

The property, view and staff were fantastic. it’s quite hard to find a room for 3 people, but these guys did it for us…. a proper 3rd bed, not a fold out cot. Also a short 3 minute walk out the back entrance and you have multiple choices for food and drink, motor bike and scooter hire. and maybe another 500m and you are in the main cafe and shopping mall, ATMs all that stuff. I loved this stay.

I liked everything about the hotel. It's in true sense a home away from home. The rooms and the lounges on both the floors are very thoughtfully and tastefully designed. The rooms are so spacious with two comfortable sofas, a working table, a tea table and side tables plus all the lighting. It has three windows from which sunlight comes in from all 3 directions. The bathroom is very clean and also has a bath cubicle. Even after all the furniture you have ample space to move in the room. On every floor there is a sitting lounge with sofas and book shelves and the locally made carpets placed tastefully. It is a place where you will never feel bored and would like to have leisure time in the hotel itself. The room has an ipad and a coffee maker with coffee cartridges, a milk frother, and an electric kettle for all your tea coffee needs. From the room the snow clad mountain peak can be seen throughout the day until late evening. Above all, the staff is extremely polite, cooperative, and soft spoken which is unmatched and found only in the Taj group of hotels. They do everything to make your stay comfortable and make yourself feel as if you are at home. They are always available for your support. It seems they have been trained by someone who has been regular to Taj hotels or may be by a person who has worked in Taj hotels. The hotel staff packed breakfast after checking what we would prefer and provided an oxygen cylinder (free of cost) for our day trip to Pangong. We stayed there for 3 days and I wanted to spend an entire day in the hotel to relax and rejuvenate but didn't have time. I will visit next time just to spend some relaxing time in this hotel. I can keep writing positive things about the hotel endlessly.

This was a great choice for our stay in Leh. The room (triple with balcony) was lovely, clean, and the view is magnificent. The breakfasts were really good - in fact all the food was excellent. But the best thing about the Yarab Tso was the staff. The manager, Arjun, hit the perfect mark: he anticipated our needs and helped with everything from a sim card to transport to food and did it all with a friendly smile. We have been travelling for 6 months out of the last 24 and have not met a better, more professional or genuinely friendlier hotel manager.
