The frequent and timely communications with the hosts before arrival were helpful. Anna was very accommodating to our needs. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi speed was great and we appreciated the coffee pods and tea bags. We got off the local train from Civitavecchia at Roma Termini and the street exit from our train track was directly across the street from the apartment.

I came to the hotel in the late afternoon, and had to do self check-in, but I got all the necessary detailed info in a message prior to getting there, so everything went smoothly. It is located in a street nearby Roma Termini (5-min walk). My room was spacious and had a big balcony (although I didn't ask for anything of that, just took the cheapest room I was offered – which was still in my opinion a bit too much). Everything was clean.

Location was very good for accessing Roma Termini. On the other hand, it was near Roma Termini, which is not ideal if you’re not planning on several day trips. We found a restaurant called Famiglia that was excellent very nearby. The hotel was clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff were helpful and very nice!

I mention this because after a while the touristy areas packed with travellers and venders alike soon become a bit tiring, and in Rome unfortunately there are few places you can escape the hussle and bustle as the attractions though within walking distance make up a large space of Rome, so I suggest if you want a quiet afternoon away from it all head to Rome's largest and prettiest park in Villa Borgesese at the top of Rome. Easily accessable by two metro stops, by bus, or what I did was walk - its not that far from Termini station or even attractions like the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Its Rome largest park at 6km diameter and even has its own zoo. There are plenty of benches, water fountains, and Rome's best kept secret - public toilets. There is a lot to do other than just being a nice afternoon sitting in the shade enjoying the peace and serenity, as I said there is a zoo, a playground, a man made lake, an art gallery, and some café areas. You can even hire out segways, gocarts and up to 6 person bicycle carts.
