If you are into art and like museums, make sure to visit this goegeous palace of the 15th century, where you can four museums with incredible exhibitions of paintings, statues, clothes, royal rooms. Don't forget to rise your head in every room to find brilliant paintings on the ceilings.
Nice gardens, don't miss the other gardens thru the gate, we didn't go because not sure how to get back but were then told we had missed a treat. Need a few hours for this one as five museums in one. Can do it on firenze card but only at one visit
First of all, pallace is great, fundus is great but the way how its represented is terrible. If you are superficial tourist, jumping from place to place to see as much is possible in unit of time, this place is excellent for you. But, if you like to enjoy paintings, things going different. Rooms are crowded with paintings from ceiling to floor (ceiling is really high) and visitor is unable to see painting in detail, Lighting is set up so badly that (mostly oil paintings) have 100% reflection. There are paintings of most famous artist but, visitors have better view on them on google pictures. Exhibits are poorly described or not described at all. There is almost no place to rest. This palace and its exhibits have potential to keep you inside for days. But management did everything to let you out as fast as possible.
Fabulous palace - ticket includes the porceline museum, the silver museum, the modern art museum. You get a couple of days to see it all. Go early to the Boboli gardens & Fort Belvedere, it is quite a climb up the stairs.
It did not feel like a palace, but more like a fort. Since it was mostly inaccessible we did not see much. We heard there was a wonderful city view from the Garden but it was a little difficult for us since the walk was steep and long. Someone younger might do just fine, but we had walked from our hotel so this was a push for us.
This might've been my favorite site in the city. Interesting stories, amazing unheralded site for art, incredible gardens, reasonable price, not as crowded as most places! Love being away from the crush yet so close and so much there to enjoy. Can do both the palace and gardens in 3 hours or can stroll through all day.
The Pitti Palace was just awesome, and is hardy mentioned in the guidebooks - fabulous ceilings!
The uffize and the pitti palace and the gardens of the palace are breathtaking
“Hotel was in great location, just across the bridge. Quick walk and you were at something fantastic to see-Duomo, Santa Croce, Pitti Palace, Uffizi, etc. rooftop dining room was great and had an awesome view. Rooms were well equipped. We had a triple for 3 kids, it was huge. I would go back again”
“I have stayed at the Hotel Pitti Palace many times and would stay again in a minute. First, the location is unbeatable. Second, the rooms are very clean. Third, the new lounge is very nice. Fourth, the breakfast is fantastic.”
“Exquisite 16th-century palazzo facing the Pitti palace. The imagination soars! Reception was perfect. Thank you, Ginevra.”
