LatviaThis a “classical hotel” in the best sense! Big convenient parking, charming room with big wooden blocks on the ceilings and a very clean bathroom with spacious shower. Comfortable bed, good sound proof windows. Breakfast was also better than most “breakfasts” you would usually have in Italy. Public transport stops are nearby and it was easy to get to the center of Padova.

Breakfast exceeded my expectations with a wide range of delicious options, both continental and local specialities. The hotel’s location was perfect—close to major attractions, public transport, and great restaurants, which made exploring the city effortless.

Book the double time in the evening if you can (Giotto under the Stars); this will give you 40 minutes in the chapel instead of the usual 20 minutes. Even 40 minutes was a bit too short! The Sistine Chapel is more well-known, but I enjoyed my time in the Scrovegni Chapel more.

It was wonderful!
It was wonderful! I had studied Art History in college and always wanted to see it. It did not disappoint! Painted in 1306 by the Master Giotto and his students. Giotto was the first to give paintings feeling. Yes, they are stiff, but have human emotions. See the angels at Christs death- they are torn up that Jesus is dead. One angel is marking her face with her fingernails! The parting of the lovers, I can feel how much they love each other and how much they will miss eachother.
The chapel is set in a QUIET park with modern artwork in the reception building and modern sculpture in the gardens.
In the back of the property is a cafe decorated with Italian Maidens- such a serene setting.

Close to Scrovegni chapel and includes free parking. Could also be convenient if arriving by train as it is just across the street from the train station. The hotel door is locked all day, so felt quite safe. There are some basic eateries, cafes and supermarkets around the hotel but for something better you want to go to the city centre.

We enjoyed our space with two rooms right near the Scrovegni Chapel. It was also close to several restaurants that we enjoyed. But one thing for which I will always be grateful is that on the day of our departure, when the taxi did not arrive to take us the the train station as scheduled, the manager woke up and arrived to check on its arrival. There is no doubt that without her intervention, we would have missed our flight. I highly recommend Palazzo Mantua Benavides.

Corine’s reception was very kind and helpful. We were able to have an early check-in. Our room was on the top floor, no elevators, but she took my suitcase up.
We had to leave earlier than opening breakfast time, but they left fruit and biscuits in the kitchen for us.
The location is perfect to go to Scrovegni Chapel and very close to the center.

Close to the train station. We went to Venezia to spend the day.

Location is terrific. In the heart of Padua, very close to restaurants, coffee shops and the Scrovegni Chapel. Lots of room. Full kitchen. Our host was very helpful and even arranged to have a load of laundry done for us.

Very clean and cozy flat. Great location, walking distance from station, Scrovegni Chapel, and many shops/cafes. Lots of space. Kitchen had many appliances.
Check-in was very easy and could be done entirely on your phone.

Our host was a delightful, lovely woman… so accommodating and helpful. Unfortunately our Italian was not fluent enough to communicate well with her. The BnB itself was totally modern (like a NYC apartment); fully stocked kitchen, great shower. Sixth floor, good lift. About 12 min walk to Scrovegni Chapel.

Very clean, modern, comfortable. Refrigerator in room which is less common than in the US. Breakfast included was exceptional. Location chosen because I was driving an electric car and this hotel had free parking (that we were able to use before check in) and was very close to 3 charging stations. Yet we could still walk to central Padova in under 30 minutes (20 minutes to Scrovegni Chapel), mostly in the historical city.

This was a large, clean and quite well located apartment (just a few minutes walk from the Scrovegni chapel). The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was stocked for basic cooking. The train station was about a 10-15 minute walk away. They let us leave our bags in the foyer prior to check in.
