Try not to show up too early ( we arrived at 1000) as the fountain may be drained for cleaning. We waited for an hour but it didn't seem like the cleaning crew was any hurry to finish. However, I was there 9 years ago and it was beautiful and well worth the visit. Go at night to see it lit and to avoid cleaning down time
Crowded every evening, it’s still worth the effort. Majestic, with happy locals and tourists bunched together enjoying la dolce vita and amore. Watched a young Roman couple get married beside the fountain. Hundreds cheered them on.
Be sure to have some coins in your pocket to make a wish or two when you toss them in the fountain. Kind souls always bring extra to share with other tourists that may have forgotten. The best drinks right next door at the Trevi Bar:)
We went during the night and there were photographers with those instant Polaroid shots.. My advise don't give them a chance to take photos for you.. they are expensive and their photos not worth a dime. Take your own photos. I had a car and didn't find a problem parking, it was a bit expensive (6 Euros for less than an hour) but I parked like 3 minutes walk from the Fountain :)
Come early as the place can be too crowded to take a decent photo. Nice area to shop! In this area, find "The Leather Craftsman", the owner himself, Aldo will add your initials to the beautiful leather purchases you will buy from his shop. Facing the Trevi fountain, turn to your right and walk until you see a restaurant with a square-ish open area to your left, that is the same street at Aldo's shop. Turn left there and the shop is also on your left. Just in front of the restaurant is a water fountain you can refill your water bottle for free.
The fountain is beautiful, but at the end of the day, it's a fountain. There are much more impressive (and FAR LESS CROWDED) sights to see throughout Rome. Not saying it's not worth a look, but definitely not where I'd spend a lot of time.
This is a great little hotel in a very convenient location, not far from the steps and the Trevi fountain. The staff are so kind and hospitable, and made every effort to make me happy. The guy on the front desk makes sure everything is taken care of. There is a nice little spa with a hot tub, the breakfasts even had some gluten free options, which is important for me. I actually stayed there twice during my visit; and they upgraded my room on my return. I will definitely stay there again when I am next in Rome.
We only had a one night stay in Rome before flying out so we chose this hotel because of its amazing location and we were not disappointed. Super close to the trevi fountain, Spanish steps and we found it really easy to get there catching the bus from Termini station. Staff were friendly and rooms were spacious and clean
Location of the hotel was perfect. Its within walking distance to the Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps etc. There is tons of shopping in this area and A coffee bar next door. The hotel is gorgeous, beautiful high ceilings, hardwood floors, and very clean. Bed was quite hard.
This hotel had lovely rooms with modern bathrooms. The staff was exceptionally kind, providing helpful information and accommodating our request to have breakfast early. The location is ideal, just a few meters away from the Scuderie del Quirinale and the Trevi Fountain.
Basic budget hotel typical of many in Rome. Clean. Friendly staff. Location is good for all sights few minutes from Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps and main Roman forum. All are within easy walking distance. Vatican City can still be walked to from here
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Decor and design were stunning. Easily walkable to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Staff were very gracious and kind throughout our stay and the breakfast service was lovely!
The apartment was very comfortable. It was in the perfect location for sightseeing - central location for visiting the Vatican, Trevi Fountain and Colosseum etc. Walking distance to everything we could want to see.
The room was overall clean, especially the bathroom. The hotel was conveniently located between Termini and the Trevi Fountain. Overall I'd say I was very satisfied with my stay here.
Superb location, minutes from The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, large apartment with ROOF TERRACE!
Rome has lots of lovely romantic spots such as the Trevi Fountain which is stunning for a romantic stroll at night time. There are lots of romantic restaurants dotted around too and if you really want to take romantic to a new level then I recommend visiting the Mirabelle restaurant - a rooftop restaurant with a terrace overlooking Rome. It is very pricey but it is stunning.
Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St Peter's, Castel Sant'Angelo, Colosseum, the Palatine and Roman Forum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain (when current restoration finished), Piazza Navona, Santa Maria Maggiore
Restaurants around the Trevi Fountain are not as expensive as one would think
From this hotel - Vatican, Castle Angelo, Angle bridge, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi and the last one Spanish steps. Second day - Coloseo, Forum Romanum and Palatino, Area Sacra
