Location, location, location. Perfect location to walk and see everything. Police everywhere so it felt extremely safe. Very upscale decor, gives like a fancy tea room vibe, definitely not modern. Staff were helpful and nice, late night bartender was great, unfortunately I didn’t get anyone’s name. I did not have any breakfast or food. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

Trevi Fountain
Much to the annoyance of his fellow gods who chose to simply materialise, Oceanus preferred to travel by cumbersome shell-shaped chariot. Constructed in 1762 at the height of the baroque, the Trevi Fountain is one of the world’s most elaborate – and romantic – fountains. The God Oceanus is the fountain’s centrepiece. Swimmers take heed: beware of the vigilant fountain police!

It's incredibly overcrowded and full of cheap touristy tat.
It's incredibly overcrowded and full of cheap touristy tat. People trying to sell you plastic rubbish and noisy toys. This was the first thing we came to see in Rome and I was appalled, thankfully the rest of Rome is better. This fountain is not worth fighting to see through the crowds though, better off going to see lots of other less crowded sights as Rome has so much!

Always beautiful, especially at night when it’s all lit up!
Always beautiful, especially at night when it’s all lit up! Lots of people, very crowded as expected, but that’s OK. It was a proposal and a yes, and the crowd cheered! It was really beautiful.. throw in some coins for a good luck!

Beautiful!
Beautiful! Crowds will be there no matter when you go, I went just before dinner and then afterwards to see before and after with the lights. Be patient, this is a popular place and everyone is taking pictures.

It is everything that is promises! The best tip is to avoid the fullest hours, if you can go late at night or in the early early morning, this is when you'll get closer to that Dolce Vita moment ;D

Loved the fountain, highly disliked the crowds.
Loved the fountain, highly disliked the crowds. Although the concentration of admirers from all around the world provides a festive atmosphere. It’s hard to described how packed it is all around the fountain!!!!

The location was excellent - it was easy to walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Colosseum, Palantine Hill and the Roman Forum. The hard part was not getting lost and walking on cobblestones. But if you don't want the hassle of taking taxis everywhere, the Hotel Forum is great! It is also close to lots of restaurants.
There was no breakfast but there was a restaurant right across the street. The location couldn't have been any better - right around the corner from Trevi Fountain! Very nice courtyard in the center of the apartments. The apartment was spacious.
Central location walking distance to Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. Clean apartment with daily cleaning.
The host was very responsive and arranged help to bring our luggage down at checkout since the elevator was not working.
Location, 59 steps from Trevi Fountain hence the name. Value compared to other hotels/apartments was good. Very easy check in even late at night. Would stay again.
To be honest the building is old, (not totally old) for me not bad. I like it. Most of the hostels and buildings in Rome is old so if you are solo traveler and you want a budget hostel this building is good for you. The location is perfect near to metro station. 15 to 30 minutes walk to popular places like Colosseum, Trevi fountain, pantheon, Roman forum, 40 to 45 minutes walk to Vatican City.
Wonderful location to walk to the Parthenon, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza Navona. 10 minute taxi ride to Colosseum and Vatican. But we loved the little side streets right by the apartment with so many restaurants, shops, and gelato!
Attentive check in - she thought of everything! Very comfortable and spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen. We felt at home right away and were sad to leave. A perfect place to experience Rome, but cozy enough to want to stay in and just enjoy being in the heart of it all.
The location of this hotel was perfect. We did not realize when booking that it is steps away from the Trevi Fountain! Although close to a popular attraction, we did not find it to be crowded near the hotel. The room was small like most hotel rooms in Rome, but it was comfortable and clean. The perfect place to get cleaned up and sleep after a full day of sightseeing.
The hotel is immediately adjacent to the Trevi Fountain, a positive for those who want the convenience of easy picture taking at off hours.
The hotel is also located very central to many of the main sites in Rome.
location was excellent. Within walking distance to the main sites of Rome, i.e. Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, many beautiful churches, Jewish Quarter, etc. Within walking distance to many affordable cafes and restaurants. We stayed at 2 other hotels while touring Italy, with Hotel Smeraldo being our final destination before our return home. The room was cozy, clean. The breakfast, which was included, was beyond our expectations. The staff was courteous and helpful.
I will definitely return here.
