An easy 20-minute walk from Fukui Station, past the castle ruins and the amazing Yokokan gardens, this spacious and comfortable lodging made it easy to settle in and enjoy Fukui. Within easy reach of Eiheiji Zen temple and the Dinosaur Museum.

The hotel is incredibly close to Fukui Station, making it convenient to get to. And the included mixed Western/Japanese breakfast buffet was very enjoyable, even if the inclusions were very standard. The price was also fairly reasonable. Even though it generally met my expectations for a low-cost business hotel, there were several small things which left me with an overall negative impression. (See below.)

The free breakfast was substantial and included juices/tea/coffee, eggs, sausage, salad, yogurt, potato salad, fish, spaghetti… There was a nice view of the mountain from the top floor. It was convenient to Fukui Station. Soap, lotion, shampoo and toiletries were provided.
