Great location in the heart of Insadong — everything is within walking distance (cafés, shops, cultural spots). The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable. Rooms are well-designed and quiet. Staff is polite and helpful. Perfect for both first-time visitors and families.

A great place to stay..very central to everything..The staff were great - even on my last morning a,lovely trainee stood outside with me until a taxi arrived. There is a supermarket next door if you need snacks. I highly recommend this place.

The hotel is centrally located and is very close to tourist destinations like palaces and museums. Room gets cleaned everyday. We were there during Christmas New Year break, so were able to witness and participate in the amazing “Seoul my Soul” festival such as lantern festival and skating plaza, all within walking distance. Even the Myeongdong was very close, we walked there very often. Convenience store is literally downstairs. Subways and eateries very close too. Perfect for tourists.

Super valued for money. Room is very clean and it has everything you need, even pajamas. Towels changed and room cleaned every day. Free water in a small fridge. Super convenient location with a really good coffee shop (Alto) at the front of the hotel and CU shop. 5 mins to Jongno 3 ga station and Jongno street food and Ikseon art street. 10 mins to Seosulla Gil with a lot of cafes, etc. If you are into a more local side, lower - rises of Seoul, it's the area. Onsen is definitely the gem. Small and can be crowded but it saved my days. Staff are friendly and speak perfect English and Japanese. Will definitely go back to stay.

Location, location, and location. It takes merely 5 minutes walk to Lotte department store and Myeongdong area, and some local restaurants surrounding the hotel serve excellent Korean food.

It was clean, comfortable, water had good pressure and was hot, breakfast was light but more than enough. Floor was heated which was a nice surprise. Location is great, there are cute alleyways with cafes and restaurants and convenience stores nearby and only a short walk to the metro. Water provided in the rooms every day and towels changed daily.

I stayed at the Side Hanok for two nights to enjoy one full day off during a long business trip. I chose it because, even at 60, I can’t expel the backpacker in me, only now I can afford to stopover at quality places. The other reviews speak for themselves and are – of course – accurate. This is a gem of a place, managed by an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very kind local (Minsik) who was fantastic in helping me achieve Plan A for my first Seoul visit = hike up to the summit of Baegundae. I had a fabulous day. Location is great – very easy access from metro (less than 10 mins walk); easy access to National Park (a few metro stops and very easy bus ride - Minsik will give you all the directions that you need for a smooth journey), and in a very cool, local (non-tourist) neighbourhood with an abundance of fabulous options for food and beer! I stayed in one of the fancier en-suite rooms which as perfectly comfortable and very very peaceful. Thank you so much, Minsik – I’ll be back.

The hotel is very thoughtful and professional. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, and the interior design is elegant and well-organized. I really like the self check-in and check-out system, and the hotel owner is very dedicated and caring. The price and quality of service truly deserve a 10/10 rating.

Clean, comfortable and very homely vibe

The room had a nice layout and comfortable beds. Free laundry machine was a very good and we also liked the shared space downstairs with free cold water and ramen.

I love that there was a cafe on the ground floor. The pastries, salads, and sandwiches were good. We did not have to go out to 711 to get breakfast. Nearby was city hall subway station, convenience stores, and a lot of restos to choose from! There was even an Olive Young nearby. Rooms were clean, and staff were friendly and helpful.

We were blown away by the beauty of this hanok. The place looks amazing, so many thoughtful details. Clearly a lot of love has gone into curating the space. The linen felt so luxurious. The location is fabulous.

The location was excellent. The facilities were very good and well maintained. It’s only a 5-minute walk to Subway Line 5 station, which was very convenient. There are also many restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

The property is amazing- really made my Kdrama dreams come to life. The property set up is amazing - where the Hanok living is so comfortable and relaxing and a great way to live simply but relaxed and comfortable! The breakfast was soo good despite being vegan for which the property catered to all our dietary needs. No tourists are allowed after 5pm which is a nice way to unwind and enjoy the surrounding area itself. So many wonderful cafes around the property as well. The beds were so good and we also got to wear traditional clothes whilst in the property! Fully recommend this place to all!
