The location is excellent, well connected and easy to get around, yet away from the heavy crowds of Myeongdong. Even so, it’s only about a 10-minute walk to both Myeongdong and a bit less to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, so you’re never far from the main sights. The airport bus stop is also very convenient, just a 7-minute walk from the hotel. There’s a water dispenser on the floor, making it easy to refill anytime. The hotel also offers a small gym and a laundry room with an ironing board and microwave, which adds to the overall convenience of the stay.

Very nice hotel! Clean, very comfortable beds, linnen. Top location next to the metro, bus stop, lots of restaurants around! Spacious room stylish decorated.

Great place to stay at, location was not too bad, relatively near the subway stations and cool areas were nearby as well. The facilities and amenities at this place was great, including washing machine and their pajamas provided. Service was great as well. Really enjoyed the stay.

It was clean, comfortable, water had good pressure and was hot, breakfast was light but more than enough. Floor was heated which was a nice surprise. Location is great, there are cute alleyways with cafes and restaurants and convenience stores nearby and only a short walk to the metro. Water provided in the rooms every day and towels changed daily.

I stayed at the Side Hanok for two nights to enjoy one full day off during a long business trip. I chose it because, even at 60, I can’t expel the backpacker in me, only now I can afford to stopover at quality places. The other reviews speak for themselves and are – of course – accurate. This is a gem of a place, managed by an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very kind local (Minsik) who was fantastic in helping me achieve Plan A for my first Seoul visit = hike up to the summit of Baegundae. I had a fabulous day. Location is great – very easy access from metro (less than 10 mins walk); easy access to National Park (a few metro stops and very easy bus ride - Minsik will give you all the directions that you need for a smooth journey), and in a very cool, local (non-tourist) neighbourhood with an abundance of fabulous options for food and beer! I stayed in one of the fancier en-suite rooms which as perfectly comfortable and very very peaceful. Thank you so much, Minsik – I’ll be back.

The hotel is very thoughtful and professional. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, and the interior design is elegant and well-organized. I really like the self check-in and check-out system, and the hotel owner is very dedicated and caring. The price and quality of service truly deserve a 10/10 rating.

Clean, comfortable and very homely vibe

Hotel is located near great public transport, easy to go anywhere you'd want. Room was clean, bed comfy, breakfast had a nice variety and . There are coin washing and drying machines at the guest lounge

We had the best stay at Hotel Jak for the first week of our two week trip in Korea to celebrate our second anniversary. It is in such a convenient spot, very close to the subway line and bus stops. Everything was very clean and comfortable. They provided amenities free of charge, towel replacements and room cleaning. There was also a free ramen, tea and coffee station, which was so good for a midnight snack. The owner in particular is super lovely. She always greeted us warmly, and had great conversations with us. She actually helped me track down my lost passport- we definitely wouldn’t have been able to continue our trip without her help. The staff are nice and I can’t fault our stay. It was a very affordable and worth-it stay. We would definitely come here again on our next trip. They made our stay very special and memorable.

We were blown away by the beauty of this hanok. The place looks amazing, so many thoughtful details. Clearly a lot of love has gone into curating the space. The linen felt so luxurious. The location is fabulous.

The location was excellent. The facilities were very good and well maintained. It’s only a 5-minute walk to Subway Line 5 station, which was very convenient. There are also many restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Great location in Buk Chon, lovely staff, stunning view, and beaurtiful traditional style house all gave me an awesome experience. Highly recommended!

I stayed here by myself for one night, and it honestly felt like stepping into another world 🤍 The combination of warm wood, soft beige tones and traditional Korean architecture is absolutely beautiful. After staying in modern Gangnam, spending a night in a hanok felt so peaceful and special — like experiencing a completely different side of Korea. If you want to slow down, reconnect with yourself and enjoy calm, aesthetic Seoul, this place is truly perfect. The breakfast was wonderful, and the reception staff were absolute sweethearts — so warm, kind and welcoming ☺️

The location, the cleanliness, the staff. It was really enjoyable stay.

Friendly & welcoming at check-in. Seeing the room made us want to stay longer straight away, so we booked more nights. Fantastic location for the palaces and the maze of restaurants of Insadong and Jongno. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, all's very modern & clean. Breakfast included but never got to try it so can't comment.
