I didn't try any of the restaurants close by, as there had been previous reports of them not being accommodating to solo travelers. But the markets nearby have plenty of options for food. The beds were very comfortable, and the bunk bed helped as I could keep my things on the lower bunk & sleep on top. The apartment will give you an opportunity to be out in, and mingle with the community. Walk up the hill and to the west a bit, and you will be knee deep in colorful, working-class Seoul. Head down the hill a few minutes, and you will be in a lively cafe/bar area full of locals and internationals alike. The bus and subway are nearby. You can walk to Seoul Station in 35 minutes. Highly recommended.
