Hotels near Unity Plaza, Colombo

We are a family of 8 ranging from 4yrs to 82yrs old, 6 of us visiting from the UK, 2 joining from South Africa. We booked 3 rooms (2 triples and a double) and all 3 were fabulous. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and fresh. We had breakfast in the Tidal restaurant which had a good choice of foods and then a fabulous dinner outside by the pool bar. In between we took the complimentary city tour (coach tour offered by the hotel) which was excellent and a good way to see Colombo. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly and we highly recommend this property

I really liked this hotel and it fully deserves its 5 stars. First of all, the hotel staff is exceptional, and for us it was a blessing to meet Sethmi, an exceptional person with whom we became friends. The entire hotel is elegant, refined, with an extraordinary breakfast (10 points), spacious and modern rooms, flat water is provided daily by the hotel. The location is very good, close to the ocean and the city's points of interest, local transportation being very cheap (tuk-tuk, about 1 USD for a ride). We fell in love with Colombo, Sri Lanka, the people here, but also with this hotel.

Close to central Colombo, close to shops, restaurants, park. Quiet street, no traffic or noice from buses or tuctuc. Next to Gangaramaya Temple. Clean, spacious, nice terrace. Very friendly and helpfull staff

The hotel was a very pleasant discovery. We booked it as a " finisher" to our 3 weeks stay in sri Lanka, and we were pleasantly surprised. We asked for a room on a high floor, and we were accomodated. The view was beautiful, the room big and clean, and equipped with all necessity. On one occasion we ordered room serviced, that arrived within 15 min.and considering the Hotel, prices were good to. Good selection of food available 24h. The pool on the rooftop was the highlight.we really enjoyed it beautiful landscape, at day and night, not to crowded, very good size, and I particularly enjothe early opening time, that allowed me to go in for a morning swim. The gym is also very well equipped, and kept in top noch, with a great view over the city.( for eveb better motivation) even here, great opening and closing time, allowing you to use it early and late. Breakfast was super too. Changed daily, getting you excited every morning on what's on the buffet. Maybe a few more vegan options would be a nice add on,specially in the sweet area,but I still managed to have a great brekfast. Last but not least...we were very pleased with the hotels policies, and their environment friendly approach, using sustainable materials for the complementary items, as well producing hot water with a heath exchanging system ( from hot water and body heath etc) and using a biomass burner for The A.C ( refilled glass bottles in the room, avoiding plastic...) We are really pleased with our stay, we can only reccomend
