The staff was very friendly, they helped me with everything and always had a smile on their face. The room was quite big and the wifi worked very good, which in my experience is rare for a hotel in a mexican city. The hotel is located right at the edge of the center, two blocks away you can rent a scooter, in the center you can reach pretty much everything by foot.

We paid for a shuttle bus (no tour included) and used a local guide for a 2 hour walk around the area with lots of information provided. We had a small group, which made the interaction more personal. A must-see!

Take a green touristico bus out and hire a guide when you get there. Our guide was soo great! Very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. Wish i remembered his name. Eduardo I think. 🤷‍♀️ Also, go early in the morning. Less direct sun. No shade there. Be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen and maybe a sarong to cover up. Have fun! We'll worth the trip.

Great pre-Maya (Zepotlan) site.

Great pre-Maya (Zepotlan) site. Plan on staying at least 2-3 hours. It's about 30-60 mins from the main square in Oaxaca, depending on the traffic which can be really bad. From entrance, there is a lot of uphill walking and it is not very accessible to those with walking issues. Spectacular views of the complex as well as of the City below.

Still incredible, was here 40:years ago, trees have grown.

Still incredible, was here 40:years ago, trees have grown. Tunnels cordoned off now which is imperative for preservation. Enjoyed more so this visit as it was a guided tour with great guide, Anne. So heard informative talk about Monte Alban.

This hotel is located on a hill slightly outside the city center and has all the necessary amenities. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, which offers a great view of the Santo Domingo Church. Tours to Hierve el Agua and Monte Albán can be booked through the hotel, and I participated in one myself; it was a very fulfilling tour. I was even able to book it the night before. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay.

Memo, the host, is very helpful and very responsive! I liked that there was a clean shared kitchen and fridge. The room was clean, big and the location is just a quick walk to the main square and markets. Also a 10-minute walk to most tour offices and a 5-minute walk to the bus to Monte Alban.

This delightful hotel is beautifully presented and very clean. Located on a busy main thoroughfare, everything in the city centre is within easy walking distance. All the staff were super-helpful and charming, and helped us organise trips to Monte Alban and fascinating artisan workshops. Luisa’s delicious cooked breakfast changes daily, and she was exceptionally kind in providing herbal tea as a gastric remedy.

Lovely building, very elegant, large bedrooms with high ceilings. Lovely courtyard, lovely staff, excellent breakfast and travel company next door that organised large car and lovely driver for our trips to Monte Albán and Hierve del Agua. Excellent location so easy to walk to lots of restaurants.

We traveled as a family of 6 and stayed in 3 rooms. Gerardo, the host, was incredibly friendly and available 24/7. Communication was seamless, and he went above and beyond by welcoming us with Mezcal shots, booking a fantastic Monte Albán tour with Armando, and arranging a taxi to the bus station. The rooms were spotless, comfy, and cleaned daily. The common kitchen was a great touch with morning coffee, a huge fridge with designated compartments, and drinking water always available. Highly recommend this place!
