A truly nice hotel, on a lovely island. Clean and secure, with great staff who go to the ends to help - especially to set up activities like boats to Santa Maria Beach. Excellent food.

The area was quiet. The house is newly built and although not 100% complete, it already had all the amenities we needed. One could already see the end vision the owners have in mind for the house. Marians (owner) kept in touch with us and responded immediately whenever we contacted her for something. She also gave us information in how to navigate around Inhaca island. That was really thoughtful of her, as well as helpful.

The location is really lovely because there aren’t a lot of houses or resorts close to it, so the beach is empty. The setting and layout of the lodge is lovely, although, be warned, there are lots and lots of stairs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is nice and the staff are friendly. It has a nice, homely feel to it and there are lovely walks to go on.

Pierre and his staff were very welcoming and helped us arrange transport to the island and back when the ferry wasn't running. They also went out of their way to assist us with outings and planning activities while on the island. It was a very pleasant surprise to find dinner and cooked breakfast included. We were served calamari the one night and fresh fish the other night with sides and salads. We loved the rustic style of the lodge. Cabins were clean with aircon and hot showers. Inhaca island itself was a wonderful, non touristy, beautiful place where you just slot in with the local people. There is none of the hassling you might find in Maputo. We really enjoyed exploring the lighthouse, biological museum (a bit dated) , wondering around the village and walking through the fields, mangroves and along the beach. The snorkeling at Santa Maria was excellent.
