A must see for any tourist visiting the main square, an additional attention should be paid to the , heraldry, the coat of arms placed above the booths inside the Clothing Hall, which highlight from how far the wares were sold in it( compare the coat s of arms- names of town, on the old maps to see from how far the merchandise travelled(it it might be also an additional hint were to go next after Kraków, watch out for pickpockets
in the middle of main market square - you could spend a whole day just walking, eating, drinking, watching and looking over the square from the balcony and shopping. don't for forget to go to the museum though.
Beautiful stalls inside and we'll worth a visit to the rooftop bar for cheap drinks. Cost about £5 for a pint and a large fancy coffee. This is probably the most you will pay for two drinks in krakow.
If you want a bargain, shop here. Loads of stalls, selling amber and other jewellery, knitted items, wooden toys and other carved items as well as momentos of your holiday, such as key rings and magnets.
So much going on in market Square, and worth exploring all the side streets, loads of markets hidden down them, wear comfy shoes and pat attention to street names as quite easy to lose your way, but quite the adventure when lost and trying to find your way back..
Very interesting building. No cloth sellers 😁 A place primarily consisting of stalls selling tourist gifts. Outside shop sells very good blown glass Christmas baubles and tourist gifts. Buy tickets for a time specific entry to the Underground Museum. This is a must see museum. Look it up on the web.
Our room was huge and quiet with an amazing view of the square, cloth hall, and St. Mary’s. The location was superb, with so many restaurants within walking distance. Actually, the hotel’s restaurant turned out to be one of our favorites where we enjoyed numerous lunches and dinners. We are still miss the beet soup, veal perogis with chanterelle sauce, schnitzel, and the side of beets. The staff was friendly and always helpful. We loved our 8 night stay at the Betmanowska and would highly recommend this hotel!
Location is great. Easy walk to Old Town, Cloth Hall etc. Tram stop is within 50 metres. Lobby bar staff very engaging.
Location walking distance to Wawel castle and cloth hall
Criss cross the streets off the square for lovely little cafes and shops. Cloth hall is nice for a walk through but very expensive tourist trap.
Shoes, clothes and jewellery very reasonable. The Cloth Hall is good and although it looks a bit touristy you can actually get some good bargins
