Featuring a bar, garden and views of city, Xerion Hotel is located in Krakow, a 10-minute walk from Schindler Factory Museum. I was surprised to see how good budget hotels can be.
Very informative and a good tour guide. Gives you lots of background. One of the rooms was actually in the film. It’s sad when you hear the stories of what the nazis did to innocent civilians. It is a bit busy so bare that in mind as you can go round quite slow. Worth a visit definitely
This is one of the best WWII museums I have visited. Very comprehensive without being too much information. It is just excellent. (Plus Schnidler's deserted home is unmarked and just around the corner).
Make sure to either buy your tickets in advance, or get to museum early. They only sell a certain amount of tickets each day. This is a good thing since only a certain number of people are allowed in museum at any given time. Loved museum and it was wonderful that it isn't over crowded while walking through.
Excellent museum. Free on Mondays but you need to arrive really early as they limit the numbers of visitors each day. The museum is in the old office building of Schindlers factory which may lead some to think it is purely about him. There are some references to Schindler but this museum tells the story of Krakov during WW11. Go with this in mind and you will not be disappointed. The original factory building now houses a museum of modern art.
Fabulous informative visit not just regarding Schindler’s list but also the history of Poland and it’s people. Very well organised and illustrated. It is a really good price at 55zoltys for a family of four.
This is a really interesting museum- focused on the toll that WW2 took on Poland as a whole vs on Schindler himself. I visited on my own, and really didn't like being sandwiched between multiple tour groups. It felt oppressive. Sometimes I got hustled out of a room I was still visiting, other times I had to wait until the hordes left.
