Hotels near Mar Avenue, Funchal

This might’ve been my favourite accommodation out of our whole trip (we stayed in 5 different accommodations including this one, as we were travelling all around Portugal). This is a fairly new hotel but it is very high end, has wonderful staff, and location is superior. One of our highlights was the rooftop bar/pool you see in the photos. View was absolutely stunning. It’s steps away from the pier/marina, main city centre and tons of restaurants around. We plan to return to Madeira and spend more days there and we’ll be definitely staying here again. Hope this place succeeds and will still be here when we come back in a few years! Also, the prices were such a steal for high end this hotel is - I’m assuming it’s because it’s a new hotel.

Excellent with variety to choose from. Coffees are very good. Very clean! The services people are very polite and making sure everyone has a good time enjoying their breakfast.

High-end hotel in a perfect location! We had an amazing experience. The hotel is top-tier and situated in a very central and convenient spot. The service was outstanding and the staff was simply excellent – professional, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality and comfort!

The room was small but comfortable. The rooftop balcony and sitting room made up forthe small room. The mahogany accents gives the room an old world charm. Good breakfast and great staff.

The position was perfect for exploring the city. Staff is a team of young people who were beyond kind and helpful. We were family of 5 (two small kids and a baby), and we got an upgrade on check-in. Rooms were clean, well equipped, and digitalised. They offer various fun things to do, so if you need help, it was easy to find a solution. We definitely recommend this hotel.

location was great near downtown. No need for car in this area. Pool fantastic and views . Restaurant staff was very helpful. Dinner is a must at the restaurant very good traditional food.

Excellent location. Spacious and well equipped apartment. Sensational views, pool, food and drinks at the rooftop. Extremely professional, responsive, and friendly staff everywhere (reception, bar, restaurant, room and cleaning service).

Everything.. the location. The terrace bar with nice live music and good snacks. Nice room, hotel close to restaurants shops etc.
