THE SAMUI VILLA RETREAT & SFS HEALTH CLINIC Bang Por, Koh Samui ⭐⭐⭐⭐ BLACK DIAMOND DISCOVERY Affordable Wellness Has Finally Arrived in Koh Samui Most wellness retreats start by cleansing your bank account before they cleanse your body. The Samui Villa Retreat and SFS Health Clinic have taken a very different approach. And I think they’re onto something. Located in Bang Por on Koh Samui’s peaceful northern coastline, this brand-new wellness village combines boutique villa accommodation, medical wellness treatments, recovery facilities and overnight stays at prices that ordinary travellers can actually afford. The key word here is affordable. Not cheap. Affordable. There’s a difference. After spending a full afternoon, evening and overnight stay here, I’ve realised this isn’t trying to compete with Kamalaya, Four Seasons or any of the ultra-luxury wellness retreats. It’s creating its own category. A Wellness Staycation. And that may be its greatest strength. The villas are brand new. Not renovated. Not refreshed. Brand new. The accommodation feels more like checking into a newly completed private residence than a hotel room. My pool villa was spacious, beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable. Full kitchen. Living area. Quality bathroom. Comfortable bedroom. Excellent bed. Excellent pillows. Everything felt fresh, clean and thoughtfully designed. Throughout the stay I kept coming back to the same thought: It feels like booking into a brand-new home. One of the surprises came the following morning. Opening the curtains at sunrise revealed dozens of tiny Thai squirrels darting through the palm trees outside the villa. Swinging through branches. Chasing each other across the gardens. A small but charming reminder that despite the wellness treatments and modern facilities, nature remains very much part of the experience here. The setting is peaceful. Relaxed. Unhurried.
