We were in apartment 5 on the 3rd floor (restaurant is on ground floor, apartment 1 is on the 1st floor by the breakfast room, apartment 2 & 3 are on the 2nd floor, and apartment 4 & 5 are on the 3rd floor). There was no elevator, but my bag was very graciously carried up for me. The apartment is a lot bigger than I was expecting. The location is excellent as really close to a T1 tram line which we used a lot. There is a mosque nearby but the prayer calls did not wake us at all, I also did not hear any street noise or restaurant noises (although you enter through a restaurant on the food street, the apartment itself was more in the back alley and so quiet for light sleepers like me). There are no nice views but that was not a concern for us. The main bedroom did not have too much natural light, which also suited us well to sleep in after the early sunrise. The second bedroom and lounge did have a lot of natural light, but my kids can easily sleep through that. There was aircon in both bedrooms and lounge. It was also very convenient to have restaurants downstairs, and we could even take a tray of food up to the room too. The airport shuttle service was very useful, just had to walk for a minute along the street as cars are not allowed right up to the apartment/restaurant entrance. We were also fortunate to be able to check-out later in the evening. The host was very friendly and helpful.

As a traveler, I found this place very attractive and enjoyable to visit. The atmosphere is pleasant and well suited for people who like exploring city locations and popular spots. It is easy to access and fits well into a city sightseeing plan. The area feels lively, interesting, and well organized, making it a good stop while visiting the city. My name is NIMAX, and as a tourist from France and Iran who travels around the world, I appreciate places like this that offer a positive and smooth visiting experience. Overall, it is a good place to visit and worth recommending to other travelers.

Great options for buying everything.

Great options for buying everything. People in shops can be very pushy. You need to negotiate. Bought some beautiful crockery, tea and spices and a carpet. Getting out of the place can be crazy and roads are usually jammed.

The prices here are triple! Either you can bargain or don’t buy in the first place. The same merchandise and goods are available all over the city in different areas and other markets cheaper. Grand Bazaar is fun for the experience only.

Disappointing.

Disappointing. I think I imagined it to be old world style market with original and locally made items. Basically a giant souvenir mall with the same items sold in every store, and that I suspect come from China. One exception was a rug store hidden away in a basement, called Export & Import (proprietor is Abdullah Balta) -- we bought two rugs. Very pleased with them.

The hotel is within a very short walking distance of most of the major tourist attractions in Sultanahmet and is also close to the Grand Bazaar. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Yunus, Emrah, and Mustafa at the front desk, as well as Semra and Yagmur in the breakfast restaurant, who provided excellent service throughout our stay.

The hotel was in a great location, within easy walking distance of Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, and close to a tram stop. All the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the restaurant staff at breakfast. The breakfasts themselves were excellent - lots of choice, lots of authentic Turkish dishes, and one or two new freshly baked items each day, and the view from the restaurant was great.

The hotel was good with a great location just a few minutes walking from the gorgeous Blue Mosque. There are some restaurants, ATM, small gift stores nearby also. Arasta bazaar, smaller and way less crowded than the Grand Bazaar is also close to the hotel. Staff was kind and the breakfast was good. Room was simple but confortable. We would stay here again!

The BEST hotel in Istanbul. Underground parking garage accessed only via a lift, exceptional for motorcycles! 10 minute walk to the grand bazaar and tram line however they also have a shuttle service to the tram station as everything in Istanbul is uphill! The guy in reception could not have been more helpful. Knowing our bike was safe and locked away made our trip to Istanbul so much more enjoyable

Grand Bazar is just for visiting not for shopping as costs are higher here. The funny thing is that everything is about negotiation in shops or on the streets. You will have a big surprise that the final price you are paying it is with 30% - 50% less. I.e. Turkish yoyo on the street is 5TL but if you offer 2.5 TL you're gone have it :) Good look.

The atmosphere.

The atmosphere. You can find most of these things in other places but not in market places with such heady atmosphere as in Istanbul. It is an experience to spend time in Grand Bazaar even if you buy nothing. Shopping areas in India, my country, are equally interesting but they tend to be dirty and full of traps like potholes and overflowing drains. Istanbul has the atmosphere without these problems. The place we liked most was Arasta Bazaar near the Blue Mosque.
