Very good location near the Bazaar, but most of all I was impressed by how helpful and friendly the staff in the lobby were, especially Ijmit or Umit, I'm not sure how to spell the name correctly. Very clean and tidy hotel and the price is very affordable

This small "family hotel" is situated in the center of Sultanahmet, close to the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia and the Basilica Cistern - 10 minutes by walk. The tram line Nr. 1 is at the end of the street. The airport shuttle bus stop (Catladikapi - Havaist Line 11) is only 15 minutes walk. We booked the apartment at the top floor, so we could see the sea from the terrace. Due to the top floor it could be hot in the summer, but there is a high performance air conditioner. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff are super friendly, helpful and nice. The breakfast is simple but delicious - served in the small restaurant at the bottom of the hotel.

Should definitely visit the Bazar but don't buy anything from there... I had to buy a cabin luggage from there but if I had bought it outside from Fatih, I could have bought it in less than half price...

As a traveler, I found this place very attractive and enjoyable to visit. The atmosphere is pleasant and well suited for people who like exploring city locations and popular spots. It is easy to access and fits well into a city sightseeing plan. The area feels lively, interesting, and well organized, making it a good stop while visiting the city. My name is NIMAX, and as a tourist from France and Iran who travels around the world, I appreciate places like this that offer a positive and smooth visiting experience. Overall, it is a good place to visit and worth recommending to other travelers.

Great options for buying everything.

Great options for buying everything. People in shops can be very pushy. You need to negotiate. Bought some beautiful crockery, tea and spices and a carpet. Getting out of the place can be crazy and roads are usually jammed.

The prices here are triple! Either you can bargain or don’t buy in the first place. The same merchandise and goods are available all over the city in different areas and other markets cheaper. Grand Bazaar is fun for the experience only.

Disappointing.

Disappointing. I think I imagined it to be old world style market with original and locally made items. Basically a giant souvenir mall with the same items sold in every store, and that I suspect come from China. One exception was a rug store hidden away in a basement, called Export & Import (proprietor is Abdullah Balta) -- we bought two rugs. Very pleased with them.

The property looks new, clean, and well-maintained. The location is convenient for visiting some of the tourist attractions, although the hotel is situated in a lower area, so walking back from the Grand Bazaar can feel like quite an uphill hike. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and they were kind enough to provide us with extra pillows and blankets upon request. Breakfast was decent with a reasonable selection. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel furnitured in old time style, gilded interior, rare Murano glass chandeliers, marble floors and gilded textile wallpapers. Excellent inner swimmung pool as well as roof pool, gym and sauna, true comfort and luxury. Good breakfast (except for slightly over-diluted juices), perfect location for tourists just on underground line M2, 3 mins by walk from tram T1, 5 mins by walk from Aquaduct of Valens, 10 mins to Grand Bazaar. My regards especially to very kind reception clark named Sarah.

Hotel was beautiful (old skool designs). Right next to the famous blue mosque, 250 yards or less. Absolutely clean bedding & towels. Staff were very helpful with all info, such as, wifi password, breakfast & Rooftop terrace which is open 24 hours and has direct views of the blue mosque, which is a beauty to look at nighttime. Also has air-conditioning and everything is near by; walking distance. Blue mosque, grand bazaar, hagia sophia mosque, Topkapı Palace & ottomans burial tomb. ✨✅🙏

The location was excellent. All key sights are within walking distance: the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar. Lots of food choices and shopping areas if that is your interest. The hotel is lovely. Lots on offer such as hammam etc. Rooms was comfortable with plenty of space. Loved that it offered shampoo and conditioner...which for European countries is not standard.

We had a wonderful stay in Istanbul! The hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The location is perfect – the Grand Bazaar is only about a 3-minute walk away, and the metro station is right nearby, making it very easy to explore the city. The hotel also has an amazing spa area, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul!

Grand Bazar is just for visiting not for shopping as costs are higher here. The funny thing is that everything is about negotiation in shops or on the streets. You will have a big surprise that the final price you are paying it is with 30% - 50% less. I.e. Turkish yoyo on the street is 5TL but if you offer 2.5 TL you're gone have it :) Good look.

The atmosphere.

The atmosphere. You can find most of these things in other places but not in market places with such heady atmosphere as in Istanbul. It is an experience to spend time in Grand Bazaar even if you buy nothing. Shopping areas in India, my country, are equally interesting but they tend to be dirty and full of traps like potholes and overflowing drains. Istanbul has the atmosphere without these problems. The place we liked most was Arasta Bazaar near the Blue Mosque.
