Absolutely stunning and one of the most unique hotels I've seen. Gorgeously renovated, it comes with all the comforts of a modern facility but offers an exciting and quite authentic experience of staying in what used to be a karavansaray (roadside inn). The hotel feels luxurious and the rooms are extremely spacious, with soaring ceilings and lovely views of the city. Everything from coffee (Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules and nicely explained instructions) to a pillow menu (!) is geared towards high-end comfort, yet the price is not extreme. The location is equally appreciated - it sits just across the street from a charming and largely renovated "kale", packed with charming stores and cafes and loads of instagrammable spots. Hotel is quick to secure a taxi service and useful information for excursions farther out. The hotel restaurant Safranhan boasts an amazing terrace, where eating either the plentiful and tasty breakfast or an elegant, flavorful dinner is a world-class experience.

This was a very good experience of the Mercure Kizilay. Overall, the impression of the hotel was immediately one of a well run and immaculately clean hotel. Within minutes of arrival I asked to get a taxi to the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations - it was sorted in literally 2 minutes. Staff were universally helpfully. Room was very nice and for such a big city with so much traffic relatively quiet. I managed to jam the room window-door open and, although this could not be fixed immediately, someone was there to sort it literally within one minute. The food in the restaurant was good - I ate there both nights of my stay and waitering staff were very helpful with my diet, which was much appreciated. Breakfast looked to be very expensive but was free on Booking.com genius - which was amazing, since it was very good and varied. Even after I had checked out I had a couple of beers in the little covered area outside. I did not take advantage of laundry service in the end but there is one. Another good thing is the location. If you arrive at Kizilay from the airport by bus, it is literally a simple 10-12 minute walk. You can also walk in 20 mins to the high speed rail station and in 30 minutes to the Anitkabir. All in all very good; great staff. And don't believe the reviews suggesting that there is a problem with English speaking. If there had, I think I might have known with my literal 5 words of Turkish! I recommend this place.

This is probably the best hotel in Ankara, facilities such as the possibility of choosing breakfast in two hotels (in the same complex there is also Sheraton), a large swimming pool and spa complex, as well as a huge fitness center make me say with confidence --> it is really worth spending more time here

It looks old buildings from outside but the renovation is great inside. Absolutely clean hotel, this is one of the most important things for me. Hot water and sound insulation is perfect. The breakfast was excellent with the amount of type of food which you’ll only find in 5-star hotels. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling.

The room was clean and fresh. Very spacious. The Manager Mustafa was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is well situated near the mall and other amenities.

The hotel was quite and cozy.There was diversity at breakfast. Kurtulus Park was visible from our window. The staff was friendly, particularly Tuğçe who was so kind to us. Location is perfect.
