Hotels near Cihou Lighthouse, Kaohsiung

The hotel is situated right on the edge of the harbour, which boasts fantastic seaside views, but was a bit of a walk with suitcases along the narrow streets and across the bridge from Hamasing MRT station when we were checking in. We opted for an Uber ride when we checked out and it was much easier. Breakfast was buffet-style and has a small selection of traditional & western (bread, cereal, sausages & eggs) cuisine, was simple but delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful to us - we checked into the "Superior King room" that we had booked, but the room did not look like the photo on Booking.com. They were happy to accommodate a room switch to "Deluxe King room with Harbour view": we paid for the price difference, stayed 1 night at the "Superior King room", and amazingly the harbour view room was available right after breakfast the very next day. It was like night and day. We loved the Harbour view room - The view was definitely worth it, and the layout of the room was better positioned: there was a nice window seat near the bed, a neat landing area where the fridge and floating tables are upon entry to the room, and the bathroom was spectacular with an amazing view of the ocean. Very relaxing. My advice is to definitely book the Harbour rooms if available - We would most definitely be returning here when we visit Kaohsiung again.

The staff is so nice! They do everything to help you, early breakfast, taxi… they can help you with everything. They don’t speak English but they are so kind and with the google translator there is no more languages barriers. The hotel is near Pier 2 and some good place to go out at night. The accommodations are very confortable, clean, new… and you can open the windows without having mosquitoes in your room! I really recommend this place!

Location to light rail and Pier 2 was great. Good soft but firm bed, more comfortable than most hotel beds in Asia which are very hard.

The hotel offers a beautiful view to the harbor and the city. We enjoyed watching the fireworks a lot during New Year's Eve. Everything was very clean. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and goes the extra mile for you, especially the receptionist was outstandingly willing to help us with our needs. They speak very good English.
