This location is EVERYTHING! we left our car and walked over to Pelican Brewing for dinner and then back. To wake up to these views was the highlight of our entire trip so far. The resort is so cute, clean, welcoming and cozy. The staff were great.

Well, what can I say anything other than Haystack is...

Well, what can I say anything other than Haystack is wonderful. So many birds make Haystack and at least another large rock their home from April til the end of June/beginning of July. It’s a busy place with nests being made, eggs cared for and protected away from land. I was desperate to see a yellow feathered pelican. The east coast pelicans don’t have “ blonde hair “! Haystack Rock is also very well known from the movie Goonies that was filmed in and around Astoria. Filming was also done at Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park. You will have to decide what haystack rock looks like. One in my group said a barn… this Canadian says a Mounties hat!

Make sure to go at low tide and see all the sea creatures (thought I was in an aquarium!). Spend hours taking pictures of sea life and rock in different light conditions. Tides are very interesting as water comes in very far on each wave. Sand is like silk!!

The property was spacious and well equipped. Heating was easy to use. The bathroom was modern and spacious. The beach was just a minute away and the property had views of Haystack rocks. The restaurant nearby was excellent.

A perfect stay! The inn is located at a very good location for accessing the Cannon Beach and the most picturesque views of the Haystack Rock. It is a bit further away from the restaurants and cafes though. The room was spacious, quiet and with very comfortable beds. Added bonus: the complementary homemade delicious cookies baked by the staff every day and the cute bunnies going around the gardens! Breakfast could have been a bit better though (it was a standard motel-type continental breakfast).

We stayed in the Ecola Creek Lodge for 2 nights. It was in a good location for the town, probably a 10 minute walk to the start of the restaurants and shops etc. Haystack Rock was about a 30 minute walk down through the town. Plenty of parking outside the front of the Lodge.

I loved how close the hotel was to some scenic spots on the beach (haystack rock). I also loved it was in walking distance of lots of food places in town. I loved that you could hear the waves at night!

The location of this hotel is amazing. The view of Haystack rock is incredible. The staff are so friendly and helpfu,especially Zack.I can't fault a thing. The complimentary cookies were so delicious and the food and service at The Wayfarer restaurant was exceptional.

Very spacious, immaculately clean. Homey but not tacky decor, comfortable furnishings, great fireplace. Two queen bed bedrooms, spacious kitchen with a big newer fridge, good pots and pans and sharp knives, cutting board and lots of kitchen utensils. Small BBQ, outdoor seating and a peak aboo view of the ocean from the front window. Close to main part of downtown , but also a short walk to main beach access to Haystack rock near Wayfarer Inn. Terrific!
