The hotel was outstanding, and our room was fantastic. We ate 2 dinners at the “Speakeasy”(hotel’s dinner location). The staff was very pleasant and attentive and the food was good, hot, and well proportioned. The breakfast location was very elegant and the wait staff was very attentive. The same comments apply to the food served there. Top notch. We were also impressed with the overall cleanliness of the hotel and the grounds. If you have a large party (wedding, anniversary, etc.), be sure to inquire about the cabins located on the grounds, just steps from the main building. They were very charming. This was quite a place. Very impressive.

where we stayed was only 7 minutes drive from Luray Caverns...

where we stayed was only 7 minutes drive from Luray Caverns , so to was really close . there was ample parking area when we arrived around 9am on a Friday , no crowd at all. first went to the souvenir shop, browsed about, bought some stuff ( yep, the LC shell jacket and beanie!) and sales clerks were kind and friendly . Luray Caverns is amazing , took our time learning about stalactites and stalagmites from the signages as we walked along. the Stalactite Organ was also cool. inside the caves was kind of humid ~80% while outside it was in the 50's( Fahrenheit) . we walked the entire cavern at our own slow pace with picture poses , video and all, I'd say took about 90 minutes . by the time we were ready to exit , it was all crowded ( there was tour bus , and school children trip ) , and carpark was also full. we went back to the souvenir shop and staff were more upbeat and rushing , more families also. I'd suggest you going early like we didi . we walked a few yards over next to the bakery - more souvenirs and of course the homemade pretzels and chocolate truffles were awesome . we walked further to the vintage car museum . after Luray Caverns, we drove up to Skyline Drive ( north ) Shenandoah National Park , entrance fee of $35 per vehicle was waived because of the government shutdown. we enjoyed the scenery , there were several view decks and stops , so make sure you get the map at the entrance. Overall experience was excellent especially for first time in Virginia. I'd highly recommend this place.

The check-in process was very easy, and I appreciated the early communication about how to access my room. The room was clean and cozy, and since it was December, the property was very quiet with few visitors. The proximity to Luray Caverns and several nearby food and drink options was also fantastic.

We were looking for a place to stay on our trip to the Smokey Mtns. This was a great location not far from the highway. We visited Luray caverns, Cooter's garage and ate dinner at the local Moose Lodge. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location and the view was peaceful and bucolic⛰️. The perfect spot for our Luray Caverns trip. We forgot our pillows and the hosts let us know right away but we had already started driving to our next destination. Long story short, they graciously mailed them back and were very kind throughout the entire process! If we are ever back this way, we’d stay again for sure!

Accommodations were adequate for 1 night. I looked at several hotels and thought this one would be the best. The king bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious, but rather dated and there was a faint smell of mustiness, but it was tolerable. Near restaurants and not very far from Luray Caverns, which was why we were in Luray.

I intended to stay local to Luray Caverns and close to Endless Caverns. I wanted to find a hotel that was somewhat historical, I did not realize I found something part of the historical hotels of America. I was splendidly surprised. The goal was to enjoy the time spent in the hotel, but to get out and enjoy the area. Which is what my 9 year old and I did. The morning we checked out we were both awake early enough to walk down the long drive way and catch the sun rise over the edge of the mountains. Beautiful hotel, friendly staff!

I’m not normally a motel person but this place was great. Had a retro vibe but very well maintained. Well equipped with everything you need, everything was functional, good location to go see Luray Caverns and/or Skyline Drive. It had seats + a table to sit outside the room and hang out on a nice night. Hotel manager (maybe also the owner?) was a nice guy. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

The best thing was the location, just 2 mins drive from the Luray Caverns entrance. The lady at the check-in was so warm and friendly. The room was very clean and had all the amenities you’d find in most hotels.

Probably the best hotel nearby to Shenandoah National Park. Luray also has some very decent restaurants to eat at and Luray Caverns. Room was good and clean.

Very friendly, accommodating, and informative staff. The room was passable in terms of cleanliness. It wasn’t a recently renovated property but it was worth what we paid. Our hotel was minutes away from LuRay Caverns and the Blue Ridge Mountains, which was our reason for visiting the Shenandoah Valley!!
