Moonstone Beach is a bit pricier than it has a right to be.
Moonstone Beach is a bit pricier than it has a right to be. Hotels along the strip are not a great value. The boardwalk is great and you can walk all the way into Cambria but in my opinion it was not worth the price for a generally tired and run down facility.

It’s right across the road from the Moonstone Beach boardwalk which is a lovely walk especially at sunset. The room was clean and spacious.

So far our favourite inn on Moonstone beach. Clean and updated the room we had was big and very comfortable. Lovely log fireplace which gave a cheery glow and heated the room. Lots of towels and hot water. Off road parking and very helpful and friendly staff made our stay! We’d definitely return here when next passing through

Breakfast was just continental, but very good danish and beverage options. The size of the room was really good, with a full size dining table and 4 chairs. Loved the proximity to Cambria and Moonstone Beach.

Beautiful room with fireplace and cozy bed. Moonstone beach just outside hotel. We saw beautiful sunset and amazing sunrise. We had amazing morning walk by the beach.
There was coffee and tea available in the morning. Definitely recommend for couple getaway weekend.

Great location and convenient for Hearst Castle and the Elephant Seals at San Simeon. The hotel is located literally across the road from Moonstone beach and boardwalk. Our room was nice and cosy, complete with a gas fire (not needed during our stay) and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We had a great view over the beach from our room to watch the incredible sunset and marvel at the surfers.

The rooms were just perfect and you are on moonstone beach in Cambria. You just have to cross the road and you can enjoy a lovely walk along the moonstone beach board walk. It is near to all you want to see in Cambria. It helps that the rooms were fabulous, beds incredibly comfortable and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at the Fogcatcher in!

Just beautiful, the rooms, ambiance, fireplace outside… Incredible. Highlight of our trip and one of our fav stays. Sunset at moonstone beach was lovely.

Fantastic location. The grounds are beautiful. The large bathtub and fireplace are very nice. It is easily the prettiest looking property on Moonstone Beach. There is a nice pool, great areas for dogs to play, very family friendly and pet friendly. Even the other people staying at the hotel were extremely nice; overall such a beautiful spot. There were more pluses than minuses to our stay.
