We were very welcomed and actually way before our checkin (1pm). The lobby is really original and contextual to Keystone. Finally hot tub and swimming pool area are very relaxing. Coffee, tea available anytime in the lobby, a real plus.

Travel in the shoulder travel seasons for several good...

Travel in the shoulder travel seasons for several good reasons - 1. Fewer cars on the road, 2. Fewer tourists at the monument, 3. Less expensive lodging, 4. No bugs, 5. Cooler weather. Out first time visiting Mt Rushmore and it was a wonderful trip out and back from out home in Northern Utah. We made it a point to avoid freeways as much as possible and enjoy backcountry paved roads across Wyoming.

Don’t miss the moving night lighting ceremony.

Don’t miss the moving night lighting ceremony. Also see it in the light of day. The sculptors studio is amazing. Drive the Needles North to South and then take the Iron Mtn Road back for best views.

I myself think Mount Rushmore is the best monument I have...

I myself think Mount Rushmore is the best monument I have ever seen, my favorite place to go, although has turned into a tourist attraction from 40 years ago still my favorite. Everyone needs to attend the night closing ceremonies, very patriotic

Mount Rushmore is majestic and amazing, just as expected.

Mount Rushmore is majestic and amazing, just as expected. We took advantage of the early morning opening hours and avoided the crowd. The visitors’ Center has fascinating information. The whole area is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay in nearby Keystone.

If you are staying in Keystone, go early and walk the...

If you are staying in Keystone, go early and walk the President's loop before the crowds arrive. Then go back to the hotel for lunch and maybe some recreational opportunities, but head back for the evening presentation and monument lighting. (Your morning parking ticket remains valid throughout the day.)

Absolutely awesome!!!

Absolutely awesome!!! Walk the Presidential Walk to get closer angle views of the Presidents. Stop at the ice cream parlor at the Monument and buy a large huckleberry ice cream cone. You won’t be disappointed.

The location of this hotel for mount rushmore and custer state park was brilliant. Short walk into the centre was perfect. Plenty of parking. The breakfast was really lovely every day and the girl who worked at breakfast time was so lovely, she worked so hard keeping on top of everything and making sure you had everything.

A great novelty to stay in a tent / cool camp like this. Greta fun with kids and a super base for visiting Mount Rushmore. The fire pits with smore kits were great, lovely food in the main tent and great views of the M Rushmore.

Great location in the middle of the town and close to Mount Rushmore and a good point to start exploring the surrounding attractions. Clean and large rooms, parking available on site. A special mention for the ladies at the front desk. We had a problem with the car rental and all of them were so kind and helpful. We will never forget such kindness and will recommend the structure to everyone. Thank you again.

The location is perfect for going to Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills, Custer National Park, the Badlands National Park, as well as cute downtown Keystone. The hotel was clean and the staff were great ! Our daughter loved that there was a hot tub and the fire pit to make s’mores ! We will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area. I have already recommended it to friends !

This hotel is conveniently located near Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, in Keystone, which is a very small town that is a little bit touristy. The hotel is older and its age shows—it could really use a facelift and a deep clean sometime soon—but for the price it’s quite reasonable. There was no complimentary breakfast offered, unfortunately, but the WiFi was decently fast and the bed was quite comfortable.
