Hotels near The Elms, Newport

A very beautiful hotel — you really want to take in every detail. We had a spacious room, and in the evenings we could watch the sunset right from the living room — truly magical. The staff were very kind and helpful with any request.

friendly reception staff - gentleman

Location was excellent. Everything in walking distance.

Beautiful location with water views and loved the igloos

2 king size beds which were very comfortable . Clean and quiet. Parking on site. 20 minutes walk to start of cliff walk. Lovely Italian deli 2 mins walk with great croissants . Had pre cooked meals for sale which looked lovely.

What did we like? We loved, loved, loved the location! The Sea Breeze Inn is close enough to downtown Newport's shops and eats to get there conveniently, and yet it is far enough away from all that traffic and congestion so you can relax and enjoy some solitude. We also liked the fact that the windows in our room actually worked as windows are supposed to, letting in those great ocean breezes, and letting us breathe fresh air. We also liked the cooked to order breakfasts each morning.

Spotlessly clean, friendly owner and great location.

We really enjoyed staying in this lovely place. Our room was large and airy with everything we needed. Sparkling clean and a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was a buffet which was ample and fully stocked. The lady on the desk, BJ, was so welcoming, ready to give advice on places of interest and places to eat. So helpful, and made us feel right at home. Location for us was brilliant, not too far from Newport centre but far enough away to be quiet at night. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel!

The house is an absolutely amazing place. So full of character. We felt like lords of the manor!

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and even helped me with my bags. Location of motel was close to where I needed to be. Overall great experience!

To be honest from the moment we pulled up and viewed the reception area we were not sure about our choice! Arriving from London UK it was a last minute booking with sky high rates. The corridors and chipped room door did not help. But, what a surprise! A huge room with all the facilities you could need, including an iron and ironing board, fridge and microwave. Super quiet, very pleasant friendly staff and breakfast. Our boys loved making waffles. It proved to be an excellent bolt hole for three glorious days in Newport/James Town. Would recommend!

Comfortable hotel, spacious room

Perfect for us as a family of 4

The location was perfect, the room had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated, it was great for our short stay but we would love to come back for longer! Staff was helpful and friendly.

Beautiful hotel in a great location.

Was so comfortable and the rooms were better in person. The photos don’t do it justice!

Location is perfect. Right in the centre of town. Check in staff - Carlos and Aline - were so helpful with recommendations and information on things to do nearby. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Complimentary tea and coffee in the morning, refillable water bottles and ice bags are all nice extras. Would definitely recommend.
