We ate dinner once at the hotel (we were the only guests!) and the steak was wonderful.
Beds were extremely comfortable and the sunset from the bedroom was stunning.

Excellent gate to enter Kruger Park.
Excellent gate to enter Kruger Park. Nice places to stay should you need to outside the park. Can get out of the car on the bridge . Ensure car is locked before going into the reception and valuables not seen.

Erika is a fantastic host and has created the perfect setup for a nature adventure. The two cozy cabins come with private attached washrooms, and everything was exceptionally neat and well-maintained. The location is unbeatable—just 5 minutes away from the Malelane Gate. It’s also super safe and secure. We absolutely loved our stay here!

Lovely chalets with all conveniences. Booked an apartment with river view for an overnight stay out of Kruger Park but was given a chalet with sugar cane plantation views. Near to the Kruger's Malelane gate. Place needs some TLC, deep cleaning and maintenance to keep it in good shape otherwise its going to deteriorate very quickly.

We had incredible views of the surrounding area and was very close to the Malelane gate. We even had some elephant visitors one evening which was incredible!!

The place was really great! You can tell the host has put a lot of effort into details. Very clean and private, beds super comfortable, each bedroom had own bathroom. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The welcome chocolates and wine were a special extra touch. Arrival is easy with a lockbox - own keys and remote so easy to leave and arrive. Safe parking spot for car. Location is also good - ±15 mins from the Malelane Gate.
Would definitely recommend!

A beautifully equipped apartment with even more wonderful hosts.
Everything was perfect – from cleanliness and comfort to the warm hospitality.
A score of 10 simply isn’t enough for such an outstanding stay.
The location is excellent – just a few minutes from Malelane Gate, perfect for visiting Kruger National Park.
We’d happily come back anytime!

The staff went out of their way for us especially to make sure our dietary requirements of halal food was met. Very friendly and helpful staff working . The location is perfect and extremely close to the Malelane gate . The grounds of the hotel is extremely scenic and beautiful. Lovely atmosphere

We came late at night and were welcomed to the room immediately. The hotel is located 10 minutes away from Malelane gate and right on the river bank. We saw animals early morning.

We loved our stay at River House Lodge. All the staff was great, super available and kind. They took care of scheduling the game drives for us, which was incredibly helpful. The food at dinner was great!
The viewing deck is beautiful, and the hotel is very close to Malelane Gate.
