The staff here are absolutely wonderful!! They were very accommodating and responsive. Pam was amazing and truly went above and beyond for me and my fiancé when my flight was delayed. The breakfast staff was also a delight. We were greeting warmly each morning by Blessings, and received excellent care from the rest of the staff. Its off the beaten path so very serene and cozy.

FAQs about hotels in Cape Town

Cool, Colourful Cape

Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers a variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settling process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside Cape Town.

Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

I can just say WOW!!! Clean, beautiful, well looked after.

I can just say WOW!!! Clean, beautiful, well looked after. But! Poverty is showing all over the beautiful beaches. Cape Town is the place to be in on vacation. Lots of sitings to view, plenty of activities for the kids and adults. Tourist attractions are amazing. The COD Father is an awesome place to eat. Just don’t park in the incorrect spot. This is not a crooks corner it’s a traffic cops corner. They get tip offs if someone is parked incorrect. I love driving around the tweely mountains. Driving in Cape Town not boring at all. I will avoid bitter traffic cops on my next round. My favourite places: Camps Bay Table Mountain 🏔️ Chapmins Peak Hout bay Seapoint Knysna Hermanus Plattenberg Thank you Cape Town See you again🌺🌷

I liked the coastal areas and the mountains.

I liked the coastal areas and the mountains. I didn’t like the amount of walking required. I’m happy that I arraigned transportation and a guide to show us the popular sites to eat as well as history of Cape Town.

It's the best place to be if you need to book yourself somewhere in Cape Town. Make sure you book at blackbrick apartments, Awesome 👌 place to be . I was soooo disappointed that I couldn't find a booking there they always fully booked, and that's just the type of place it is .

The downtown tour is very well organzed. You have options.

The downtown tour is very well organzed. You have options. I took the Table Mountain option. It is spectacular. In my case, most of the meals were pre-arranged, so all I had to do was to show up and eat. It is very cheap to rent a car.

If you like travelling but have not been to Capetown then...

If you like travelling but have not been to Capetown then hurry up and book a visit. It is truly beautiful city with so much to do for all ages. You are made to feel very welcome where ever you go and generally the service is second to none. Accommodation is generally of a high standard with plenty of availability from hotels to apartments and rates are very affordable. The wining and ding is amazing and again very affordable, especially when spending pounds - tips are expected but usually at around 10% which again for a good quality meal is good value. It is quite hard to find a poor place to eat in Cape Town. If you are a confident driver then hiring a car is the best way to see the sights at your leisure, drivers in SA can be quite aggressive but always yield and there will be no problems. Ubers are a good way to get around if you dont fancy driving, avoid local taxis unless you are very brave. Unless on guided tours, stay clear of Townships and always make sure of the area before you go there, all hotels will give advise if asked as will information centers. Looking forward to my next trip already - Enjoy !

    Cape Town is so fascinating.

Cape Town is so fascinating. My favorite places were the table mountain, specifically the views from the top and the cable cars. The boat rides and view of Robben Island were magnificent. The food was equally nice. I tried the fast food restaurants in town and also dined at the waterfront. There is a wide variety of foods for any traveler. I would do paragliding next time
