Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.
Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers a variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.
Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settling process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside Cape Town.
Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

It is very nice, there's lots to do lots to see.. The mother city is just beautiful 🤗🤗. There is affordable places to visit and free places when it's your birthday ( just make sure to provide your ID on arrival) examples the aquariam, table mountain, some spots at v&a you get free things (free cruise ride & a wine) Mug nd bean gives you a free coffee and a donut. Lots more. The beaches are incredible, just make sure to check the weather before booking . - the Uber money is quite expensive especially when traveling out of the century city. Like R150 a trip.. Back nd front, nd wherever you Wanna go. Better to have your own vehicle.
Cape Town weather was good. We went on a day trip to winelands and tram trip in Franschhoek with the red bus which was excellent. Walk on the promenade always good. Music and meals at Mojo a must. Coffee at Naked good. Uber services good.
The waterfront area is amazing .we stayed close by so walking distance. We did the open top bus, blue route, which gave us a good oversight of the layout of cape town city area to the waterfront and surrounding areas like the local wineries. We were unlucky with the weather. Really strong wind and rain for most of the stay but definitely come back!
Its a nature's wonder. It has beautiful landscape, picturesque waterfront, and a vibrant city center. There are must visit places like cape point and cape of good hope. There are some wonderful restaurants and eating places. There is no reasonable transport system, and the only reasonable option is Uber.
Cape Town is a city that has it all. The mountains, sea, wine lands and vibrant city is all at your doorstep. The people are friendly. The My Citi bus covers most of the center of town and Atlantic coast beaches. The hop-on- hop-off bus takes you to so many attractions that you will be constantly on the go.
Love Cape Town but the place that is shown on bookings.com is false advertising from the place that we stayed. This makes us scared to book again. The pictures showed sea front and we stayed at the back of the hotel. There was no electricity on the plugs, so nothing in the kitchen, and the television could work. The toilet was out of order and the floor was soaking wet. Bedding did not smell very fresh.
Cape Town CBD, Cape Town
This is an amazing place to stay. It offers a well equipped kitchen, an heating and cooling system and a super clean home. This property is super clean, close to several shops and restaurants. It is just few minutes walk to the V&A waterfront and other beautiful places in Cape Town. It has a beautiful view of the city, especially at night, and I must say that the comfort, space and facilities makes it a better option than using the hotel. I recommend 101% and I surely will be back.
The location of this hotel is very close to the popular V&A waterfront area (about a ten minute, easy walk), in what is known as the SILO area. There are many restaurants, shops and a huge, modern mall in this area. Lots to see and do. Hop-On bus is very nearby as is the cruise terminal. Cabs or Uber from the cruise terminal (needed if you have luggage), is less than $10. The restaurant is a good place for lunch with good light eats. The WiFi is very good (consistent and strong).
Cape Town CBD, Cape Town
Literally everything beat my expectations because it was in the middle of the CBD so it was close to everything. The apartment says "Self Catering" so people shouldn't expect hotel service, clean after yourself and everything else for the duration of your stay. The apartment was clean, beds had clean linen and towels. And the rest was a jol. The host Wim was the best to communicate with and the security at the building was very helpful. Definitely coming back to room 403
This property is located perfectly in the middle of the waterfront district. It is excellent value. The hotel was safe and well-equipped. We did not have an opportunity to try the restaurants. The room was functional but just what we needed. Other accommodations in the area were more traditional and perhaps better appointed but they were also twice the price or more. Unless you plan on sitting in your room, this is where you should stay. Parking was also easy and excellent.
Century City, Cape Town
1. We had a lovely pad with amazing views of Table View and Blouberg. 2. Kitchen was well equipped with all necessary facilities required of a self catering unit. 3. Very centrally located behind Canal Walk shopping mall with all amenities imaginable. 4. Easy access of both Cape Town City Centre, The Winelands, Cape Point and the Southern Suburbs. We actually wished we'd stayed longer.
Green Point, Cape Town
The host was friendly. The apartment is not short of anything. Walking distance to the beach, shops, restuarants, the v&a waterfront, cape town stadium. We would definitely stay again. The kitchen is well equiped with crockery, utensils. Nicole thank you so much for having us. My new place for when i want to be in the city.
The hotel is situated in Cape Town city, close to the V & A waterfront which was nice, also quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was so big, i am sure you can fit in 3x king size beds. We had breakfast the last day, it was not included in our price, breakfast was good, not to expensive, and staff also helpful.
The hotel was on the Beach front. Situated in a safe area. Restaurants and the bus stop are in the same street not far from the hotel. There is a staff member at the reception called Andrew he was friendly, helped us in bookings for the activities in Cape Town. And was there for us up to the last day.
The location was perfect. It was nice to have the sea point promenade for walks. It’s an easy (and inexpensive) cab ride from the center of Cape Town and the sightseeing bus stops directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast was extensive and delicious and the staff were all wonderful and friendly.
The hotel was extremely clean and the food was great every morning, the stuff were friendly, welcoming, very helpful. The hotel is also located in the center of Capetown not far from V & A waterfront and also surrounded by restaurants. I appreciated the charging ports on bed sides❤️❤️
It was such a lovely experience. The most amazing staff members and gorgeous building! The hotel is within walking distance from the V&A waterfront as well as other sites in Cape Town. The room facilities are great and the interiors are beautiful. Highly recommended!
The hotel is conveniently located near V&A waterfront. It is clean and the bed is comfortable. The most important thing is the staffs. They will go beyond their duties to help the guests. Special thanks to Rubin who made our stay in Dysart very memorable.
Victoria & Albert Hotel could not be better. The location near the Mall its situated in the V & A Waterfront and restaurants and in easy walking distance. of the many attractions .Our favourite place to stay in Cape Town.
The breakfast was good and the hotel was good. The room size is a bit tight but the cleanliness of the rooms compared to some of the other hotels in Cape Town was amazing! Spectacular views especially on the breakfast floor🤗
Green Point, Cape Town
Beautiful and spacious suite with a lounge area, excellent location of the hotel, great breakfast restaurant with lots to choose from, nice pool, good views, walking distance from V&A waterfront.
The hotel is located within a few minutes walking distance, along the canal, from the V&A waterfront. The room was very nice and clean, and the view of Table Mountain was unbeatable.
Fantastic boutique hotel in Sea Point area of Cape Town. Amazing staff never a dull moment with the people of The Glen. Great experience all around would highly recommend it.
Located in the center of Sea Point and access Cape Town and the V and A Waterfront easily
