The city is great with loads of malls and attractions. You can easily get around with Uber (which is relatively cheap) and it felt safe moving around the city also. The nightlife is brilliant with loads of nightclubs and lounges playing all types of music. I will definitely be coming back again in the future.

Conference at Wits University was interesting and the Wits Science Stadium was impressive - facilities at Wits are excellent and it is a world-class university. Other than at the university my time in Johannesburg was spent meeting with friends for lunch or dinner, so I did not explore the city.
