Amazing location right in the thick of the Kananaskis wilderness. The lodge is located remote but within short commute of Canmore. While the road is unsealed (and in some areas in rough condition during our visit) t’s generally well kept and easy driving. Views on the way in, at the lodge, and waking up to are worth it! Packed lunch was awesome too!

Comfortable Accommodations: Pine Bungalows in Jasper offers family rooms with private bathrooms and garden or mountain views. Each room features a balcony, parquet floors, and a private entrance. Beautiful setting- very quiet and relaxing cabins. Staff were helpful and friendly. The Kumama restaurant on site is also excellent. Would highly recommend a stay here.

It offers an amazing base to explore the park and the hosts have great suggestions for trails which are perfectly sign posted and marked. The hosts themselves, Gary and Julia, are excellent. They are always around to make sure you return safely from your adventures, and have great stories to share. The cabin itself is cosy and warm, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. From bathrobes to emergency lights, the hosts have truly thought of everything. We definitely want to come back and explore in summer!

The staff was very nice and our lodge was great. My advice is to go to the terrace (of the reception/restaurant building) for some drinks. You will have a great view!
