Located in Puerto Viejo, Casa Viva Eco Lodge provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. The moment we entered we knew we would never want to leave. In the middle of the jungle, surrounded by monkeys and a few steps away from the beach, a beautiful big cabin with everything we needed. Carlos the manager was great and even called us when a sloth came near the reception, the beach was fantastic, many restaurants nearby. It was a dream.

Fernando was a wonderful host. Breakfast was delicious, the cabin was amazing, and the location could not be any more beautiful.

Featuring garden views, Satta Lodge in Puerto Viejo features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. We stayed in a “ Jungle Suite” which is a little away from the main building, pool and other cabins. It was beautifully designed in a superb setting surrounded by jungle. It was so peaceful. The “ lounge area” - an open sided area at the centre of the cabins next to the pool was a good place to relax in the late afternoons when drinks and snacks are available. The breakfasts were very good even though the choice was not as extensive as some places. The staff were very friendly and helpful ( especially Donovan). Bryan the manager was exceptionally helpful and informative and keeps the place ticking along beautifully. The position just over 1 km back from the beach ensures a quiet environment. Although a car makes it easier, the local taxis and Uber are very cheap and readily available.

Exceptional location and very well equipped house (full kitchen, purified water, mosquito nets, hammocks, swining chairs,,...). Owners and staff are very polite and helpful, especially the laundry service was fantastic. We really enjoyed the daily routine of the animals around us as well as plenty of interesting and relaxing activities to do nearby.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Everything, facilities and surroundings exceptional. My teenagers say it was their favourite place in Costa Rica. Garden is fantastic and full of wildlife, pool squeaky clean.

Can’t wait to return! The Hosts and staff were so welcoming and friendly, we enjoyed our stay so much. It was great to have our own mini kitchen for cooking food (stove, fridge, sink, dishes). We loved the hammocks, the pool, pickleball court and gazebo for yoga. Short drive to the beach in Cahuita. We listened to birds and howler monkeys every day on out porch and saw lots of cute lizards. Great place to get away and relax in nature.
