The ambiance of the house was great. The fireplace was a very interesting, and modern, addition to the house. All basic necessities were there. Beautiful area with a great view.

There was a kitchen available and we were going to cook our meal but we were travelling by bicycle and too tired to ride into town to buy provisions so luckily there was a restaurant nearby. My partner is celiac so luckily they did have something on the menu for her. I had left my reading glasses behind and the host kindly offered to send them back home to Canada for me.

Really quirky, individual, eco property, crafted largely from wood, as the name suggests. Charming! The provision was excellent, down to a lovely full-bean coffee machine (beans provided generously, just leave a contribution in the tin next to the machine). The small terrace was peaceful and gorgeous to just take in the sounds of rural life - the nearby church tower, birds, and sounds of busy agricultural activity. Really lovely place. Next door is a vibrant and friendly pizza restaurant too - highly recommend a visit there if you're staying.
