It's truly in the middle of nowhere. There are just 3 cabins and a Sauna hut. Complete privacy, silence and beautiful trails to walk. One has to get the water from the hole in the frozen river few meters from the sauna. It's a bare bones wilderness cabin experience yet very cozy and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and answer all your questions. There is a wood fireplace in the cabin and the wood is provided. The huskies are nearby. They howl when the Aurora's are out.

Surrounded by nature and hiking trails, Vaattunki Wilderness Resort is located 24 km from Rovaniemi city centre. The location is best for relaxation. As for northern lights viewing, it's amazing because of less light pollution. And loved so much the adorable huskies nearby <3

Slopeside Luppo - Original Log Cabin, Sauna, Ski 100m is located in Pyhätunturi. Situated 21 km from Amethyst Mine, the property features a terrace and free private parking. Authentic cabin, you have entire unit for yourself. Newly furnished kitchenette is fully functional. Cozy sauna and a big fireplace. Drying cupboard is very useful. The hosts are super helpful and are ready to assist you during your stay. All essentials are there, everything that you may need. I loved their attention to details: there are spare batteries, nice pot to cook poronkäristys, and even cinnamon for rice porridge. Another aspect: we were happy we booked a final cleaning (and I recommend it to other guests), it saves you time and worries in the morning of check-out.

Located 16 km from Arktikum Science Centre, Aava Riverside offers a garden, a private beach area and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The accommodation features a sauna. It is very cozy and well equipped. Very clean and looks very new. It felt somehow a bit like home. We would come back for sure!

Offering a garden and garden view, Little Elves Cabin is set in Rovaniemi, 1.4 km from Santa Claus Village - Main Post Office and 1.1 km from Santa Claus Village - Christmas House. Proximity to Santa Claus Village and the beautiful woods. Ollie was very friendly and picked me up from airport. Cabin is COZY and warm, self-sufficient other than the shower which is on a separate building just a few short steps away. Go for a walk in the woods in the dark!

Haistila sijaitsee Ranualla 16 km:n päässä Ranuan eläinpuistosta. Majoituspaikassa on ilmastointi, ilmainen WiFi ja puutarha, jossa on terassi. It was a PERFECT one week stay in this cottage. My son, my wife and me were there from January 1st to February 5th. It was a dream. Very elegant furnished house, a lot of snow, 3 bedrooms, big living room, well equipped kitchen, and a wooden stove. Yes - its in the middle of nowhere (okay - 20min until the next supermarket), but I slept like a STONE (no cars, no pigeons, nothing, just complete silence). We did several excursions, planned and booked by the owners (ask them!!), private Santa Meeting (not that commercial thing in Santa village), reindeer farm visit with a walk, etc. I can HIGHLY recommend this cottage. Would book it again every time - until next year (since we have no snow in Austria we need to go Lappland :))) Thank you SO much for hosting us - it was a pleasure :)
