The place is exactly as described, quiet, intimate and clean. The big windows give a great feeling of being in touch with the outside. The breakfast restaurant is a short walk away and is great deal. We would definitely stay again.

There are just 3 cabins and a Sauna hut. Complete privacy, silence and beautiful trails to walk. One has to get the water from the hole in the frozen river few meters from the sauna. It's a bare bones wilderness cabin experience yet very cozy and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and answer all your questions. There is a wood fireplace in the cabin and the wood is provided. The huskies are nearby. They howl when the Aurora's are out.

Surrounded by nature and hiking trails, Vaattunki Wilderness Resort is located 24 km from Rovaniemi city centre. The property’s riverside setting is truly stunning and the facilities are excellent throughout. I was particularly impressed by the staff, who went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. Furthermore, the dinner was exceptional, compliments to the chef for a fantastic culinary experience.

Authentic cabin, you have entire unit for yourself. Newly furnished kitchenette is fully functional. Cozy sauna and a big fireplace. Drying cupboard is very useful. The hosts are super helpful and are ready to assist you during your stay. All essentials are there, everything that you may need. I loved their attention to details: there are spare batteries, nice pot to cook poronkäristys, and even cinnamon for rice porridge. Another aspect: we were happy we booked a final cleaning (and I recommend it to other guests), it saves you time and worries in the morning of check-out.

It is very cozy and well equipped. Very clean and looks very new. It felt somehow a bit like home. We would come back for sure!
